Missing Person Trace Tipton of Reported Missing in Gresham, Oregon

Friends and family of Trace Tipton, a 33-year-old man, reported him missing this week to the Gresham Police.

The Portland resident was last seen on Sept 13, in his White Chevrolet Astro Van near the McDonalds, 3330 N.E 82nd Ave. His mother was the last person to have spoken to him, by phone, Sept. 19.

Police characterized Tipton as being depressed and a drug user while friends said he had been sober for some time. He was officially reported missing Sept. 27.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“There were no suspicious circumstances reported,” said Gresham police spokesman Claudio GrandJean. “But they did report that he is a drug user and depressed and I add that because … it’s not unusual for a person like that to disappear at times.”

A press release from his family stated his mother, Kim Mays, arrived in Portland from Indiana this week and could not reach Tipton when she arrived. She’s since been driving around Portland looking for him. Tipton spoke with his mother on Sept. 19 to make final preparations for a camping trip they were set to take the following week. He has not been heard from since that conversation.

In the release, his mother said it is not unusual for Tipton to take off for a few days on a last-minute hiking trip without telling anyone, but it was out of character for him to miss her arrival. His mother said she attempted to contact Tipton several times on his cell phone but has learned that the phone has been disconnected.

GrandJean said many people are reported as missing and typically turn up on their own.

“My son and I love camping,” Mays said. “We were looking forward to this for weeks. There’s no way he’d ever skip out, especially with me traveling so far to kick off our trip.”

Tipton was recently working on a book about living on the streets in Portland. He is a white male, approximately 6’2” tall and about 220 pounds. He has black hair, hazel eyes and a large black beard.

Identifying tattoos include a mushroom patch on the lower left side of his abdomen above the left pelvic bone as well as a pistol on the inside of his front left forearm with words that read “Rise Above Burn It Down.”

Tipton may be driving his White Chevrolet Astro Van believed to have Oregon license plates. The exact plate number is unknown, the family said.

Private Detective: Trailer Full of Emergency Equipment Stolen in Jackson Co.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s office is asking for your help to find the person who stole a trailer loaded with equipment used to help in emergencies. It happened this week in the Gray Hawk community.

“It’s a major loss for us, being a small county and stuff, it’s exactly half of our inventory of decontamination equipment,” Greg Hayes, Emergency Management director said.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Officials say they first realized the trailer was missing Tuesday evening.

“After we made some calls, we realized it had been stolen,” Hayes recalled.

The 16-foot LA cargo trailer was bought with FEMA funding and was storing important equipment at the Gray Hawk fire department.

“10 sets of turnout gear and a whole bunch of fire hose and equipment like that,” Hayes explained.

It also held two de-contamination tents, one yellow and one blue.

“I think maybe they were just interested in the trailer and maybe they didn’t know the equipment was in there that’s the only thing I can figure out,” Hayes told LEX 18’s Evan Gorman.

The assistant fire chief believes the thief might have also tried to get a different trailer considering how low the jack is sitting.

Now they’re looking for answers, and the name of the person who took the trailer in broad daylight. Despite the setback, first responders say they’re still prepared to do their job.

“We’ll continue the mission. We’ll do the best we can with what we’ve got to work with,” Hayes added.

Although the trailer isn’t marked “emergency management,” keep an eye out for the word “freedom” near the back.

Officials say the trailer and its contents are worth about $100,000.

If you have any information, give the Jackson County Sheriff’s office a call at 606-287-7121.

Private Detective: Second Suspect Named In Multi-State Victoria’s Secret Shoplifting Ring

Police have released the name of a second person they are looking for in the continuing case of the Victoria’s Secret merchandise heists.

Lexington Police were able to identify and lock up the alleged ringleader of a group accused of ripping off merchandise from multiple Victoria’s Secret stores. They took around $4,000 of the merchandise from the Hamburg Victoria’s Secret location earlier this year.

It only took them a matter of seconds for them to wipe out the entire display.

Tips from people reporting to Crime Stoppers led police to Brionna Earts of Ferguson, Missouri. Earts is the alleged ring leader of the group.

She is now locked up and her business of selling the stolen goods on her Instagram account is over, but that didn’t stop the rest of the group.

Police have identified one woman as Tiffany Reed, they believe she is one of the women from the surveillance video in Lexington.

They say she has also popped up in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas and Missouri.

Victoria’s Secret employees are warned to keep their eyes peeled.

St. Louis Police believe that Reed is in their area and they are actively looking for her.

A man wanted in Kentucky for a Scott County crash that killed a 13-year old Bourbon County girl has been extradited to Kentucky.

Police in Clay County have arrested a man they say beat a 6-year-old girl. They also tell LEX 18 that the child’s mother allegedly tried to cover up the abuse.

Manchester Police say the child was found to have black eyes and bruises all over her body as a result of abuse by Bobby Barger. Police also say that the child’s mother, Jessica Sasser, was aware of the abuse and attempted to conceal the marks with makeup.
