Missing Person Tiffanee Trecek of Omaha, NE

Police continue to search for 33-year-old Tiffanee Trecek, who might have been abducted.

Investigators said Wednesday Trecek may have changed her hair color to purple prior to the incident just after midnight Tuesday when a home invasion and robbery were reported at an apartment southwest of 84th and Q streets. A caller reported that a man was outside the building holding a gun and left in a black SUV. Three victims were located and reported a home invasion.

Detectives determined that Trecek may have been abducted during the incident. Officers later interviewed someone at North 11th and Grace streets hoping for information. Police don’t believe Trecek is in immediate danger, but do want to locate her. Anyone with information about her possible whereabouts is asked to call police at 402-444-5692 or Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.

A suspect identified as Terry Stafford was taken into police custody and booked for robbery, possession of a gun by a prohibited person and use of a gun to commit a felony.

The names of Terry Stafford and Tiffanee Trecek surfaced last month in an incident in Sarpy County. According to court records, on August 16th, Bellevue police came in contact with a Chevy Impala that matched the description of a vehicle that had been involved in a hit-and-run accident during which the suspect displayed a gun. The driver was ordered to pull over, but sped away.

The officer lost sight of the Impala that was later found in a driveway. The license plate number indicated the car was stolen from South Dakota.

The car had a large amount of cash on the center console alongside a baggie containing a white powder. There was also a Social Security card in the name of Terry Stafford and a motel receipt in the name of Tiffanee Trecek in the vehicle that was towed to the Bellevue police garage as investigators sought a search warrant for the property.

Police continue to search for 33-year-old Tiffanee Trecek, who might have been abducted.

Private Detective: Man Held Pregnant Girlfriend Against Her Will

A Laurel County man is accused of holding his pregnant girlfriend against her will and threatening to kill her unborn child.

The woman told deputies that 20-year-old Erik Anderson hit her, then forced her to stay in their apartment for three days because he wanted the bruises to heal before anyone could see her. She said she was without food during this time.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

According to deputies, she claims that Anderson threatened to punch her belly and kill the baby if he went to jail. Anderson is charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and wanton endangerment.

Her friends were concerned after not seeing her for days. They went to the apartment to see her Tuesday which is what led to her escape.

“Some of her friends came over and while her friends were at the apartment, distracting him, she was able to escape. Then her friends took her to the hospital to be treated,” said Deputy Gilbert Acciardo with the Laurel County Police Department.

“I talked to her a couple of weeks ago, and she told me was just fine. She pulled her arms out, said ‘does it look like he beats on me’?” Anderson’s cousin, Regina Garland, told LEX 18’s Steve Butera.

Garland said that there was past trouble with Anderson, but she never expected this kind of abuse.

“Even though he’s kin to me, he deserves what he gets,” said Garland.

Anderson was in court Wednesday morning.

Private Detective: Multi-State Vet Burglars Under Arrest

Investigators said they targeted veterinarians across several states, including Kentucky, stealing thousands of dollars worth of pet medicine. Now, Lexington Police said the burglary ring has been shut down, and the men responsible, Jason Leffew and Timothy Ross, are sitting in a Tennessee jail.

For months a couple of want to be cat-burglars were caught on camera breaking into vet, after vet, after vet.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“I was always wondering when we would get hit,” said Dr. Mark Dobbs.

He said it was bound to happen. Even with added security measures his clinic, the Regency Animal Hospital in Lexington, was hit twice.

“They took a bunch of stuff, came in and got  $12-thousand dollars or so worth of stuff,” said Dr. Dobbs.

Dobbs’ security cameras show two men wearing masks, on a mission to take the most expensive medicines. Among the highest priced were pre-packaged flea products and heart worm preventives.

“They’re just trying to steal the products and turn a profit,” said Dobbs.

Police said it’s the same M.O. used at clinics in Jessamine and Madison Counties, plus dozens of clinics as far away as Tennessee, Ohio and North Carolina.

“They had as much as $7,00-thousand dollars worth of product, and you can’t get rid of that too quickly. And they said it’s part of an ongoing investigation,” said Dobbs.

Finally, that investigation led detectives to Jason Leffew and Timothy Ross, in Knoxville Tennessee. According to the Knox County Jail, Leffew and Ross are being held without bond, for burglary and theft. Lexington Police said the duo are charged with three counts of burglary for the break-ins in Lexington.

While the extent of the “cat”-burglar crime spree is still unfolding, Dobbs said he’s happy his added video security helped crack the case.

“I am real happy that the system is in place,” said Dobbs. “Hopefully we are at the end of this.”
