Pedophile Tracking CA Offender Sentenced in KY Case

The FBI is reporting that a registered sex offender from California, who admitted to coercing a minor from eastern Kentucky to send him sexually explicit photos of herself, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.

38-year-old Luis Antonio Caballero was sentenced Thursday for encouraging a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purposes of producing a visual image of that sexual conduct.

At the time of this offense, Caballero was on parole, for another crime related to the sexual exploitation of a minor in California. Due to this previous conviction, Caballero’s sentence was enhanced. Under federal law, Caballero must serve at least 85 percent of his prison sentence.

In early 2014, Caballero coerced the eastern Kentucky teenager to take and send sexually explicit photos of herself. Specifically, he used threats, which included vulgar language, to get the victim to comply with his demands. When the victim stopped sending photos and tried to end the communications, Caballero contacted the victim’s guardian and threatened to drive to Kentucky and kidnap the girl.

Caballero pleaded guilty to the charge in November 2014.

Wrongful Death Man Found Shot in Deep Freezer

A man whose body was found in a deep freezer in his own home last month died from a gunshot wound.

An autopsy showed Michael Dwayne Graham, 40, was shot in the back of the head, the Associated Press reported. The Butler County man had been missing for 12 days before lawmen found his body during a search warrant of his home on July 24.

Graham was last seen alive July 12. His family filed a missing person’s report when notified by his employers that he had not shown up for work.

Sheriff Kenny Harden said investigators initially went to the home on Highway 10 with family members and did a cursory search. He said they returned with a search warrant July 24 and discovered the deep-freezer under a pile of clothing. That is when they found Graham’s body inside.

The body, and the freezer, were taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for additional examination and autopsy.

Graham’s car was recovered in the Atlanta area, and the person who had been driving it was tracked to North Carolina, according to the AP. The driver is a person of interest in his death but has not been charged. The person is being held on domestic abuse charges in North Carolina.

Missing Person Henrico County, VA Mom

A Virginia mother is missing and her husband is asking questions about her strange behavior shortly before her disappearance.

Mark Ditto says no one has seen or heard from his wife, Connie Ditto, 41, since Tuesday night when she checked into a medical clinic after she experienced head pains.

“I am clueless as to what happened,” Mark said.

Mark says he spoke to his wife around 8 p.m. while she was at work.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“She said she wasn’t feeling well and was going to go to a walk-in clinic,” he said.

Police told Mark his wife checked in at the medical clinic on Tuesday night but left before her name was called.

Connie texted Mark from the clinic and told him not to come. She said she was being sent to the hospital for X-rays. Mark later learned that was not true and she left before seeing a doctor. Her cell phone was turned off after that final text exchange.

“Why did she turn her phone off?” a confused Mark asked rhetorically.

Mark and his teenage step-daughters, Connie’s biological children, went to the medical clinic and local hospitals looking for Connie. They could not find her. On Wednesday morning, Mark filed a missing person’s report.

Police told WTVR officers are investigating the case. On Wednesday, Mark said he drove around Short Pump, Virginia, looking for places Connie may have crashed her vehicle.

Mark said Connie hurt her head when she fell last week and her disappearance could be the result of an internal injury. He also said his wife has battled both alcohol abuse and depression in the past.

“I fear she’s driven off somewhere, that’s she’s blacked out and gone,” Mark said.

As police check credit card reports, Connie’s customers continue to show up at the salon for appointments.

“It’s not like her not to cancel appointments,” Mark said.

Connie was driving a dark blue 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan, small SUV. Va license plate # WLV8676. She is described as a Hispanic female, 5’2″, 115 pounds, with shoulder length dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Connie should contact Henrico Police at 804-501-1000.

Private Detective: Scott Co. Man Accused of Burglary and Assault

Four Scott County residents were arrested for breaking into a woman’s home and for beating her son.

The victim’s mother tells LEX 18 that the attack was all over a woman however, the suspect denies that the events happened as they say.

42-year-old Herman Hughes was jailed for burglary, assault, criminal mischief and public intoxication in connection with the confrontation at Roanna Cuellar’s house.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Cuellar is still shaken over the attack and she hopes it is something she can soon forget, “It was just so traumatic and my home and I didn’t even know these people and it was just over really jealousy and resentment. To come in and do me and my son like that it’s just awful.”

Cuellar says that Hughes kicked in the door and assaulted her son, because he is dating Hughes’ ex-girlfriend. Three others were arrested with them.

Hughes, however, tells LEX 18’s Jennifer McGraw a different version of events.

“We knocked on the door and he came outside, they came outside, three of them came out,” says Hughes.

Hughes, his daughter, her boyfriend and Hughes’ nephew were arrested. Cuellar says that a fifth juvenile ran off.

Roanna says it’s an attack she’ll probably never forget and she won’t let it happen again.

“I’m totally against guns, I hate them, I don’t like them, but I’ll be darned if someone is going to come into my house and do me and my son like that,” she told LEX 18.

Fraud Investigation “Bogus Beggar” Federally Indicted

Gary Thompson, the “Bogus Beggar”, who once bragged to an LEX 18 news crew about making a 6-figure income by faking a mental disability, is probably wishing he hadn’t done that.

Because of those claims, Gary Thompson’s name sits at the top of a federal indictment for Social Security and Welfare Fraud. Thompson’s 32-page rap sheet just got a little longer with charges that could lead to more jail time for the admitted con man.

Thompson admitted to LEX 18’s Kristen Pflum that he faked a mental disability while begging to earn extra income.

http://liarcatchers.com/fraud_investigation.html

“I’m really good at it.  I clear about $100k a year doing this,” Thompson told Kristen Pflum.

Unfortunately, that admission caught the attention of the feds because Thompson, who was on welfare, was pulling in a monthly disability check. More than two years later, a federal indictment with three counts has finally come down.

Thompson is accused of Social Security fraud, theft of government funds and making a false statement.

Thompson faces $250,000 in fines and up to 10 years in prison.
