Identity Theft Albuquerque Man Sentenced to 39 Months in Prison

An Albuquerque man who admitted stealing mail from mailboxes and then stealing a victim’s identity for fraudulent purposes has been sentenced to over three years in prison.

A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced 28-year-old Jeremy Boucher to 39 months in prison followed by three years of supervised probation.

Boucher also was ordered to pay restitution to victims. He pleaded guilty March 27 to a four-count indictment charging him with mail theft, bank fraud and identity theft.

Postal Service inspectors and Albuquerque police found large amounts of stolen mail, including financial documents, during a Nov. 14 search of Boucher’s residence.

Court documents said Boucher opened a bank account in a victim’s name and also had a credit card in that person’s name.

Pedophile Tracking Man Pleads Guilty to Taking Child to Oregon For Sex

An Oregon man pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of producing child pornography and transporting a minor for sexual activity after prosecutors said he took his girlfriend’s toddler across state lines and included the child in sex acts.

James Lee Hickerson, 36, entered the pleas after prosecutors and a defense attorney jointly recommended a sentence of 25 years in federal prison.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Hickerson responded clearly to a series of questions from U.S. District Judge Michael Simon but made no statement in court.

Simon is not required to accept the recommendation at the Nov. 9 sentencing. The maximum penalty would put Hickerson behind bars for life.

Hickerson’s girlfriend pleaded guilty in May to transportation of a minor for sexual activity and is awaiting sentencing. The Associated Press is withholding her name to protect the identity of the child.

Hickerson’s father, Neil Lee Hickerson, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in the case and is also waiting to be sentenced.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jane Shoemaker said the girlfriend can’t drive, so Hickerson would pick up her and the toddler about once a month at their Washington state home and take them to his residence in Gresham, Oregon.

The toddler was often present when the couple had sex and was later included, Shoemaker said.

“The defendant acknowledged (to investigators) that it was wrong, and that he and (the girlfriend) had discussed how this was a bad idea,” Shoemaker said. “But he said the situation snowballed and they did it anyway.”

Shoemaker said the child pornography investigation began when an undercover agent downloaded files from a peer-to-peer, file-sharing network, and traced the images to computers that belonged to Hickerson and his father.

“The peer-to-peer program was running during the execution of the search warrant,” she said. “Videos containing child pornography — and file names indicative of child pornography — were being downloaded as the agents arrived.”

Wrongful Death Body of Missing Alabama Man Found Inside His Freezer

The body of a Butler County man missing for 12 days was found in a freezer in his home this morning, and now authorities are classifying his death as a homicide.

The body of Michael Dwayne Graham, 40, was found this morning at his home on Highway 10, said Sheriff Kenny Harden. Graham was last seen alive July 12. His family filed a missing person’s report when notified by his employers that he had not shown up for work.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Harden said investigators initially went to the home with family members and did a cursory search. They returned with a search warrant this morning and discovered the deep-freezer under a pile of clothing. That is when they found Graham’s body inside.

The body, and the freezer, have been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for additional examination and autopsy. The sheriff did not release the cause of death.

The victim’s car was recovered in the Atlanta area.

Relatives told Montgomery television station WSFA that it’s out of the norm for him to travel very far or stay out of touch for long without bringing them in the loop. “He’s never done anything like that before. If he goes out for a long period of time, he always lets us know,” his niece, Tasha Graham, said during the search. “I don’t know what could have happened. That’s what puzzles my mind.”

Harden told AL.com this afternoon they have a person of interest in Graham’s death, but said no charges have been filed.

The two hackers were able to change the Jeep’s speed and control the brakes, wipers, transmission, and other features. They reportedly hacked into a vehicle they own.
