Police have released a sketch of the man they believe is the one who shot a nine-year-old on Saturday. They have still not been able to apprehend the suspect, and are calling on Crime Stoppers to help solve the crime. Perhaps, a cash reward will encourage someone to come forward with information.

Nine-year-old Antonio Murillo was riding in the car with his parents and two other siblings when he was hit in the head by a bullet.

Two Southern Californians have been convicted of a $71 million scheme to bilk health insurers by submitting claims for unnecessary procedures.

Theresa Fisher of Tustin and Lindsay Hardgraves of San Pedro were found guilty Thursday of mail fraud. Each faces up to 20 years in federal prison.

Prosecutors say they promised free or discounted cosmetic surgery to patients who agreed to undergo unnecessary procedures — such as colonoscopies — at an Orange County surgery center.

They submitted $71 million in claims and received more than $50 million.

Once insurers paid, the patients were given tummy tucks, liposuction and other cosmetic procedures that typically aren’t covered by insurance.

A third defendant, Vi Nguyen (Win) of Placentia, pleaded guilty in January to mail fraud.

A local man reported missing Wednesday was found dead Friday night in an alley off Della Street in Texarkana, Texas, according to Texarkana, Texas, police.

Christopher D. Guilbeau was found near the 1100 block of Della Street in Texarkana, Texas, by officers responding after two 911 calls were made about 11 p.m. Friday, said Sgt. Mike Jones, spokesman for Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.

Guilbeau’s stepfather reported him missing about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to Texarkana, Ark., Police Department. TAPD spokeswoman Kristi Mitchell said previously Guilbeau’s stepfather had not had any contact with his son for longer than 2 weeks.

“Detectives from Texarkana, Ark., Police Department and Texarkana, Texas, Police Department are working together to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death,” Mitchell said.

Two men who were arrested in Tulsa, Okla., with Guilbeau’s Dodge pickup are persons of interest in Guilbeau’s death, Jones said.

The Caldwell Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help finding a missing person.

Brooklyn N. Carr, 22, was last seen in Caldwell Parish two or three days ago according to a sheriff’s office post on social media:

“Her family hasn’t heard from her in several days and no one has been able to get in touch with her.”

She is known to drive a 2006 Infiniti 4-door white car, with plate number: WKD290.

Lexington Police are on the lookout for a woman involved in an overnight stabbing.  Officers were called out to the 1900 block of Fair Oaks Drive just after midnight Sunday for a disorder with a weapon.

By the time police arrived, someone had already taken the stabbing victim to UK Hospital. Police say a 21-year-old man was stabbed twice in the abdomen with a knife.

Police are searching for a 25 year old woman. She’s expected to be charged with first degree assault.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to locate a person reported missing from Putnam Valley: Carmen Lydia Roman, 65.

Roman was last seen at about 10:30AM today, March 6, in southwest Yonkers.

She is 5’2” tall, weighs 180 to 200 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She has a noticeable horizontal scar across her forehead. She was last seen wearing a black knee length wool coat and a black skirt below the knee in length. She may be carrying a bright pink “Hello Kitty” suitcase. She may be wearing an open-toe shoe on the left foot and a black closed-toe shoe on the right foot. She walks with the aid of a black and red aluminum walker.

Lexington Police have released a composite drawing of the man they believe shot a 9-year-old boy Saturday.

The man is described as Hispanic and between 19 and 25 years old. He’s between 5’6″-5’8″ with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a button down shirt, jeans and a large gold belt buckle. He was also driving a 2000-2003 model white Nissan Maxima with dark tinted windows.

Police say the suspect shot a 9-year-old boy Saturday while the boy was in his parent’s car. The victims told officers they were driving near the intersection of Hollow Creek Road and Russell Cave Road when a bullet was fired into their vehicle.

The boy’s current condition is unknown. Anyone with any information is asked to call police.

A homicide investigation is underway in Laurel County this weekend.

The sheriff’s department says they received a call Sunday morning about a house fire at the 1100 block of Slate Ridge Road in Lily. When they arrived, they found two bodies inside the home with gunshot wounds.

Names of the victims have not been released yet.

Lexington police say a 9-year-old was shot in the shoulder Saturday afternoon just before 6 p.m. Officers say the shooting happened while the child was inside a vehicle on Hollow Creek Road. After the shooting, the child’s parents drove to Russell Cave Road to get help.

Police believe 2 shots were fired. The child was rushed to UK Hospital.

Police say the shooter may have been inside a white passenger car, possibly a Nissan. They don’t know if the shooting was random or if the family was targeted.

The child’s condition is currently unknown.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-year-old Solon girl.

Police are searching for Brianna Crane, who is 4 feet tall and 85 pounds with hazel eyes. She is expected to be wearing black high-top shoes and blue jeans. Crane is also hearing-impaired. It was incorrectly reported earlier that she is 9 years old.

Kenneth Eugene Johns, 48, was the girl’s suspected abductor, according to the Amber Alert website. Johns is 6 feet tall and 210 pounds. He was believed to be wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes. Johns is Brianna’s stepfather, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Gary Kramer, deputy captain at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, said the sheriff’s officers were called to a house in Solon about 2:40 a.m. Sunday. While officers were talking to Brianna’s mother, Johns took the girl. The Amber Alert was issued at 3:33 p.m.

The suspect vehicle is a four-door gray 2014 Ford Focus. Authorities don’t have an exact license plate number because Johns may be driving a rental car or a vehicle without plates.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office contacted Des Moines police believing that the girl and suspect could be in the Polk County area, according to Officer Mark Schleuger. Police searched hotels both downtown and near the airport, but were unable to locate anything.
