Private Detective: Man Accused of Running Over Girlfriend Pleads Not Guilty

A man in Anderson County charged with the attempted murder of his girlfriend has plead not guilty to the charge.

Earlier this month, police say Leslie Hatchett ran over his girlfriend and dragged her under a car.

“He came all the way down the hill and started down the road and I said ‘Scott I’m hurt, I’m under the car’ and he wouldn’t stop,” said Chrystal Perry.

She says it all started when she and a friend helped Hatchet, who was having car trouble. Perry says she noticed Hatchett was drunk and although hesitant, she decided to drive him home. That’s when investigators say Hatchett pushed her out of the car and ran her over.

Perry said Hatchett then threatened to run over more people.

Missing Person Timothy Hamlett Missing in NJ

A former member of the University of Pennsylvania’s track and field team who was charged in a vandalism spree this fall has been reported missing from his North Jersey hometown.

Teaneck police said 20-year-old Timothy Hamlett’s parents reported him missing to authorities on Sunday after they hadn’t seen or heard from him in several days.

Hamlett was last seen at his residence in Teaneck on Dec. 26, Detective Lt. Andrew McGurr said.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

He told his family he was going somewhere locally, but never returned, prompting his parents to contact police two days later.

Hamlett was in the news this fall when he was charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief for a series of alleged brick-throwing vandalism incidents.

After the charges were filed, a school athletics official told The Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn’s student newspaper, that Hamlett was no longer a member of the track program. He was a sprinter and middle-distance runner on the team from 2012 to 2014 and had been a star high school athlete at Don Bosco Prep.

A missing-person alert being circulated Sunday said Hamlett is on leave from Penn. He is no longer listed in the university’s directory.

McGurr said investigators believe Hamlett may be in the Washington Heights area of New York City and no foul play is suspected in his disappearance.

“There’s no reason to think it’s suspicious at all,” he said.

Hamlett may also have been near the George Washington Bridge, according to the missing-person flier, which appears to have been distributed by friends and family. His cellphone no longer has power, the alert says.

Hamlett is black, 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing True Religion jeans, a blue/purple zip-up Adidas shirt and sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call 917-686-0087 or 201-406-6990.

A Golden Alert has been issued for a Tennessee man, last seen in Kentucky of Friday afternoon.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Greene had called his family to say that he was out of gas and that is the last time they heard from him. They are particularly concerned because Greene takes medication for his bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.  His family cautions that if he has stopped taking his medicine, or the medicine has stopped working that anything could be possible. They also say that he is not dangerous and doesn’t want to hurt anyone.  His family urges that if you see him, just to call the London police.
Green was last seen driving a white 1999 Oldsmobile 88.

Private Detective: Clark County Man Accused of Attempted Luring

Police say a Clark County man tried to lure two young girls into his vehicle this past weekend, and what made it scarier for the would-be victims and their families is what police say they found inside the man’s truck.

According to Thomas Hamilton’s citation, police searched the attempted kidnapping suspect’s vehicle and found a couple of ropes, a folded towel, a pillow, a steak knife and a lot of plastic sheeting.

Winchester police got a call Saturday about a man who tried to pick up a 12 and 13-year-old girl at the corner of Lincoln Street and Hickman Avenue.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

The girls told police the man stopped his white truck, opened the door and told them to get in. The girls ran away and Hamilton was found a mile way, police said.

Police say Hamilton admitted to driving around and that he saw the girls, but didn’t say anything to them when he stopped at a stop sign.

LEX 18’s Adam Yosim spoke with one of the girl’s who described what happened last weekend.

“It was a very scary thought. Very scary. I’ve never had that happen to me before. I didn’t know. I told him ‘no’ and I ran,” she said.

Hamilton declined an interview request from jail.

Private Detective: Sale Over Facebook Leads To Shots Fired Outside Lexington Motel

A cell phone sale arranged over social media turned into an attempted robbery in Lexington with shots fired as the victim tried to get away.

Lexington Police said it happened around 2 p.m. Sunday outside of the Days Motel on Versailles Road.

“The suspects demanded money from the victim, so the victim tried to flee from the parking lot in their vehicle and at that time, the suspects shot at least three shots towards the victims vehicle,” explained Lt. Jesse Harris with Lexington Police.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Police said the victim was not hit by the bullets but officers are not sure about any damage to the vehicle.

“Sometimes it’s on Craigslist. Sometimes Facebook. But people just need to be very careful about who they are meeting with and where they are meeting people because you never know when a situation like this might take place,” said Lt. Harris.

Investigators described the two suspects as two women, one 6-foot tall, the other 5-foot tall. One was wearing a red hoodie, the other had on a gray hoodie.

The owner of Days Motel told LEX 18 that no one involved in the incident was staying at the motel.
