Police say 22-year-old Michael Collins left four stove burners on high heat, an oven on high heat with the door open and the thermostat at a high temperature.

His arrest warrant states a family member discovered the appliances inside the apartment, which had significant heat damage to it, on Nov. 2.

Missing Person Jimmy Dwayne McClure of Titus County, TX

A missing person’s report was filed last Friday with the Titus County Sheriff’s Office. Jimmy Dwayne McClure, of Titus County, was reported missing by his brother, Richard McClure of Daingerfield.

McClure was last seen mid-September leaving a relative’s residence in Humble. The last known phone contact was during the same time.

Chief John Livingston of the Titus County Sheriff’s Office said there has been no updated information since the family filed the report, and that the case had been assigned to an investigator.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“The family’s not been in contact with him since mid-September,” Livingston said. “There’s nothing there to say that something’s horribly wrong, but there’s also nothing to say there’s not.”

Livingston said the department is currently looking into McClure’s last known location and following up with local friends and family.

According to a statement released on Saturday by the sheriff’s office, McClure has ties to Titus County, the Houston area, and Shreveport.

McClure is described as a 62-year-old white male with blond hair and brown eyes. He was last known to be driving a silver 2003 Nissan Pathfinder with Texas license plate BY7M430.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of McClure or his vehicle should contact the Titus County Sheriff’s Office at 903-572-6641.

Private Detective: New Details in Pappy Heist

It has been more than a year since thousands of dollars worth of rare bourbon was stolen from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Franklin County.

Now, detectives say they are more certain than ever it was an inside job. In October 2013, just over 190 bottles of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon seemingly disappeared. The value was more than $26,000. The mystery stumped local law enforcement.

“196 bottles don’t just walk away,” says Sheriff Pat Melton.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, which has interviewed more than 100 Buffalo Trace employees as part of its investigation is now more confident than ever that this was carried out by at least two employees.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“It took employees, somebody inside who works there, to pull this off,” says Sheriff Melton.

Investigators believe that the thieves are people who had access to the bourbon, and were familiar with the distillery’s facilities.

“The bourbon was in a warehouse, behind a second lock and key. So it’s not like it was just sitting out on a main warehouse floor where anybody had access to it,” says Sheriff Melton.

Officials say the theft was carried out through the use of a large delivery truck and could have easily happened during normal business hours. While deputies have made a lot of progress, there is still a rather large reward being offered for more information.

However, the police remain optimistic.

“We just need a little bit of help and I think we could be very successful on this case,” says Sheriff Melton.

If you have any information on the theft please contact Frankfort Police.
