Missing Person 10 Year Old Rio Rancho, NM Girl

New Mexico State Police have issued an endangered missing person advisory for a 10-year-old girl from Rio Rancho.

Alexandra Greenwall was last seen on Wednesday, Oct. 29. State police had said she may be on the Rail Runner trying to get to Madrid, New Mexico, though they said Thursday afternoon she may still be in the area.

Rio Rancho police said late Thursday evening the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now involved in the search. RRPD, the Bernalillo Co. Sheriff’s Office and Albuquerque police are also involved in the investigation.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Thursday evening, at least a dozen officers were searching house-to-house in her neighborhood in northwest Rio Rancho, trying to find her.

“We have checked the backyards of all the neighborhoods surrounding the area,” said Lt. Paul Rodgers, of the Rio Rancho Police Department. “We are now in the process of redoubling that effort and checking again to ensure that there isn’t something that we missed. We are also making contact with her friends.”

She left home at 6:40 a.m. Thursday. Greenwall is described as 4’5″ and 61 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

“She ran away this morning,” said her mother, Catherine Allen. “We had a fight yesterday; she was really upset and we think that she might be hiding somewhere. We think that she is in the area.”

Thursday night, KOB learned she likely ran away with two backpacks full of clothes. Police say they found one of those backpacks near the family’s home on Idaho Creek Rd., though they still have found no sign of Alexandra.

RRPD Lt. Paul Rodgers said nightful makes the search more difficult and the cold temperatures adds to the immediacy of this search.

An AMBER Alert hasn’t been issued because she was not abducted, nor has there been any sign of foul play at this time, according to police. State police require one of those criterion be met before issuing an AMBER Alert.

The Rio Rancho School District did call it an AMBER Alert earlier Thursday, though state police said that one has not been issued. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children confirms there is no active Amber Alert for Alexandra.

Anyone with information on Alexandra’s whereabouts should contact Rio Rancho police at (505)-891-7226.

Private Detective: Grigsby Police Seek Woman On the Run For Three Months

A woman is on the run three months after being accused of buying alcohol for a teen involved in a deadly crash in Boyle County.

40-year-old Alison Grigsby was under house arrest at her grandmother’s home in Lincoln County when she removed her ankle monitor and stole her grandmother’s car and money, according to Sheriff Curt Folger.

Folger says that Grigsby was placed under house arrest after she was accused of buying alcohol for a group of teenagers.

The teenagers later crashed their vehicle. One one of the teenagers, 16-year-old Emily Snow, died in the crash.

Folger says Grigsby took off with her grandmother’s belongings on Oct. 4.

Last Saturday, her grandmother’s Ford Taurus was found abandoned in Lexington.

Folger says Grigsby’s grandmother did get her car back but her granddaughter is still missing.

Private Detective: Man Considered Victim Now An Accomplice in Burglary

A man first believed to have been a victim in the case has turned into an accomplice in a burglary in Franklin County.

At first, 21-year-old Dillion Haynes said his friends held him at gunpoint and forced him to break into an apartment.

“The investigator that I spoke with says when he retold the story, several different times, that the story never changed. It seemed very plausible,” said Major Robert Warfel.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

But Frankfort police have now determined Haynes’ story was false and say that he chose to take part in the crime. Officers say the group, which also included a teenager, stole about 3,000 worth of items from the home.

Now Haynes, Thomas Wenz and Casey Endicott are charged with burglary and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Wrongful Death Roles Revealed in Car Wash Murders

Three men accused of robbing and killing another man at a closed Lexington car wash earlier this month were in court Thursday morning, where a detective’s testimony revealed new information about what happened the night 50-year-old Brian DePreta was killed.

On the stand, Detective Steve McCowan with Lexington police said there was a verbal dispute between DePreta and the three men accused in his death – Thomas Lucky, Joseph Sledge and Kavion Thomas. He says after homosexual comments were made to DePreta, the argument turned physical. He said a witness to the crime told him who did what in the attack.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“She stated that Mr. Lucky was the first to strike, but she did say that he was threatened by Mr. Sledge that if he didn’t strike him, that he was going to hit him. That was the reason that he hit him. Then, after that, Mr. Sledge and Mr. Thomas began to kick and stomp the victim,” Det. McCowan said.

DePreta’s body was found on Oct. 13 at what was formerly Premier Car Wash. Police say Lucky, Sledge and Thomas beat DePreta to death and then took his wallet.

The case will now be heard by a grand jury.

Private Detective: Thief Steals From Louisville Charity Offices

A bold thief wandered the halls of the Kosair Charities building in Louisville Tuesday afternoon, stealing wallets, credit cards and cash.

Surveillance video captured images of the suspect. He dressed to blend in, wearing khakis, a button down shirt and loafers. He was carrying a messenger bag and at one point appeared to talk on a cell phone. Investigators say everyone who saw him assumed he belonged in the building. The man went in and out of offices, taking items. He even walked right into the Louisville Police Foundation office.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“The executive director was having a meeting with an officer in uniform, and he walked right by there and nobody thought anything of it,” Stephanie Smith said.

Smith works in the building for Kosair Charities and had her wallet stolen.

“You feel victimized,” she said. “My credit cards and ID and everything was in there.”

Wrongful Death Police Make Third Arrest in Murder of 19 Year Old

Police have arrested a third man in connection with the murder of a Lexington 19-year-old.

Officers took Sayvon A. Thompson, 20, into custody late Tuesday night. He faces a murder (complicity) charge in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old Jeffrey Adams.

Investigators say Thompson was part of a group that used a drug deal to lure Adams to an apartment complex on McCullough Drive, and then shot him to death on Oct. 17. Police have also arrested and charged Nathan Miller, 19, along with a juvenile in the case.

During Miller’s preliminary hearing Thursday morning, a detective told the court that the group of men used a cell phone that belonged to a friend of Adams, leading him to believe his friend was the person texting him.
