Pedophile Tracking Former Wichita, KS Police Sergeant Faces Additional Charges

A former Wichita police sergeant and USD 259 security official is facing additional charges involving child sex crimes.

Alex Robinson was a 22-year veteran of the Wichita Police Department when he retired in 2006 to take a job as security supervisor with Wichita Public Schools.

In January 2013, Robinson was arrested after a 24-year-old man came forward, alleging sex crimes that happened more than a decade prior when he was a juvenile. Crimes of that nature typically carry a 5-year statute of limitations, but Captain Brent Allred said last year that certain qualifiers could be met allowing charges to be filed in this case, several years after the statute expired.

Robinson was free on bond until charges were filed in March of this year. He was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy and three counts of aggravated indecent liberties in connection to crimes alleged to have occurred between 2000 and 2002. The victim in that case was 12 to 13 years old at the time.

At the same time, he was also charged with aggravated indecent liberties with an 11-year-old that allegedly happened in June 2012. Robinson was also charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a 14-year-old, alleged to have occurred between August 2011 and September 2012.

Later that month, Robinson was charged with similar crimes in Colorado: two counts of sexual assault of a child in a position of trust. The alleged crimes happened between June 1 and August 31 of 1996, while Robinson was visiting the state. The alleged victim was between 15 and 18 years old.

This week, Robinson appeared in Sedgwick County Court once again and was charged with two additional counts of aggravated indecent liberties.

He now faces a total of 10 charges in the Kansas cases and 2 in Colorado.

He’s currently free on bond and scheduled to be back in court in Sedgwick County for a preliminary hearing on September 17.

Missing Person Autistic Boy Missing in Hudson, FL and 4 Bodies Found Near Home

Pasco County deputies say a 4-year-old autistic boy is missing after multiple people were found killed near his Hudson home. Deputies also are looking for his a man who may have taken the boy.

The sheriff’s office says Ismael Tristan Santisteban was last seen at his home at 7718 Hatteras Drive on Aug. 28. During a welfare check on Thursday, the child was discovered missing, and there were signs at the home of foul play.

A search of the area revealed four bodies over a hill, about three-fourths a mile from the home. Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco says the victims appear to be of two adult males and two adult females. They have not been identified at this time.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Nocco said a sergeant was in the area and saw and smelled something, and that led to the discovery of the bodies.

“Our biggest concern is finding little Tristan,” Nocco said at a news conference. “We are very, very concerned for him.”

Investigators earlier said Tristan may be with 28-year-old Adam Matos, who was reportedly traveling in a 1991, blue Ford F-150 pickup. Nocco said later Thursday that the truck had already been found and towed.

Investigators are checking bars, homeless camps and neighborhoods for Matos. Nocco said that Matos was seen without the boy, so Tristan might have been left in the care of someone else.

Detectives describe Matos as a person of interest, who is also wanted in relation to a domestic violence incident from August. Nocco said he might be armed and dangerous.

Nocco also said that Matos might consider Tristan to be his son, even though he might not be the biological father. The sheriff said that Matos cares for the boy.

The Pasco sheriff said there is a large law enforcement presence in the area, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and FBI. Nocco said that the sheriff’s department mounted patrol would being looking in wooded areas on Friday.

Late Thursday, FDLE issued an Amber Alert for Tristan.

Nocco says Matos is from Pennsylvania, but investigators caution he could be anywhere at this time; he does have family in Florida. Matos has a lengthy criminal history in Pennsylvania, including arrests for stalking and harassment.

he is considered armed and dangerous.

Matos worked at the Get Hooked Bar and Grill in Hudson as a dishwasher, after moving to the area from Pennsylvania a couple months ago.

“He wasn’t here very long, we hired him walking off the street, said he was looking for a job. Didn’t last very long, had to fire him,” says John Logan, manager of the restaurant.

Logan said he had a problem showing up for work.

10 News looked into Matos’ background and found a lengthy criminal background that revealed charges of harassment, theft, DUI, assault, burglary — and he may have been on probation in Pennsylvania.

Logan was shocked at the news.

“Wow. wow I didn’t know that. We’re a small restaurant, don’t have the funds to do background checks on everybody,” he said.

Logan said that Matos lived nearby with his girlfriend and his parents.

Anyone with information on Adam Matos or Ismael Tristan Santisteban is asked to call 911. Or contact the Pasco sheriff at 727-706-2488.

Matos is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Tristan is 3 feet tall and weighs 35 pounds.

Arson Investigation and Wrongful Death, Couple Accused Pleads Not Guilty

A couple accused of killing a Martin County family then setting their house on fire last month entered a not guilty plea in court Thursday.

Kentucky State Police say Jack Smith and Amanda Bowen shot and stabbed Cainie Johnson Junior, his wife Tina Goble, and Tina’s grandchild 8-year-old Trinity Maynard on Aug. 16.

Police say they then set the family’s home on fire.

http://liarcatchers.com/arson_investigation.html

According to an arrest warrant, Bowen allegedly worked with Smith to kill all three by shooting them with a gun and stabbing them with a knife after robbing Tina Goble of medication and jewelry.

The child’s father and Tina Goble’s son, Tim Goble, said Jack Smith was a family acquaintance.

Court officials confirm Amanda Bowen is being moved to the Floyd County Detention Center from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center because officials do not want her to have any contact with Jack Smith.

Private Detective. Subway Owners Sentenced to 6 Months for Human Trafficking

The Subway owners arrested following a lengthy investigation into human trafficking allegations have been sentenced in the case.

Amrutlal and Dakshben Patel will spend six months in federal prison after being charged with fours counts of harboring undocumented Indian nationals to work at Subway restaurants around Lexington.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

In May, Amrutlal asked for a motion to plead guilty.

Authorities raided the Patels’ home and their Subway restaurant on East Main Street – one of at least three Lexington restaurants co-owned by Amrutlal Patel and a relative – after allegations of human trafficking.

According to U.S. District Court records, the investigation began in August 2013 after an employee at Subway filed a report with Lexington police about some “bad things” happening to his coworkers.

The unidentified witness “provided information that Amrutlal Patel and his wife Dakshaben Patel and others known and unknown are ‘forcing’ four undocumented Indian citizens to work, and housing some of them in a hidden room located in the couple’s home,” the affidavit said.

32-year-old Jeffrey Hopper may be smiling in his mug shot, but his situation is far from funny. Winchester police arrested him for DUI and two counts of wanton endangerment on Winn Avenue Thursday night.

The officer noted a ‘strong odor of alcohol’ and saw his eyes were ‘red and bloodshot.’ He also noted that Hopper’s speech was slurred.

“His Breathalyzer was almost three times the legal limit,” says Capt. Harvey Craycraft.

Police say that Hopper blew a .247 on the Breathalyzer and according to the citation, his girlfriend and 9-year-old child were in the car against their will.

“The passengers were fine they indicated he had been drinking all day was also drinking while driving from Lexington to Winchester,” says Capt. Craycraft.

The girlfriend had refused to get in the car with Hopper initially, but ended up riding with him to Winchester as she was concerned about the child’s well-being, according to officials.

Hopper was charged with DUI back in 2011. For now he’s off the road and locked up in the Clark County Jail. If convicted of wanton endangerment charges, he could face up to five years in prison.
