Wrongful Death Body of Ohio Teen Found, Man Arrested

A gruesome discovery made this weekend will now lead to a murder charge.

The body of a missing teenager from Kanawha County was found along the banks of the Ohio River in Meigs County.

Ericka Brown, 16, had been missing for several weeks.

Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood confirms the girl’s body was found Saturday, wrapped in a clear tarp, tied up and strapped to a cinder block. Brown was along the riverbank.

Wood also says Ernest Roach, 36, of Racine, Ohio, has been arrested and will be formally charged Tuesday with Brown’s murder. Roach was arrested by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.

Roach is already behind bars at South Central Regional Jail in Kanawha County.

Police sources tell WSAZ.com that Roach was picked up early Saturday morning and admitted to killing the girl.

There’s no word yet on a motive or whether the suspect and victim knew each other.

On Aug. 10, Brown’s parents discovered her missing from their home in Cross Lanes, and immediately called 911.

It was believed she left the house on her own, but they were worried she may be in danger.

Multiple law enforcement agencies have been involved in the investigation, including the U.S. Marshals Service.

Ericka was a student at Nitro High School.

School officials say grief counselors will be on hand Tuesday for her classmates.

Wrongful Death Elderly Couple Killed in Murder-Suicide

A murder-suicide, has people in Mercer County mourning the loss of an elderly couple. Glenda Noel, 71, and her husband Darrel Bruce Noel, 71, were found dead by family at their Warwick Road home Sunday night.

A somber sound now echoes through the stretch of Warwick Road, where instead of a happy holiday, hearts ache with loss.

“We were good friends and we thought a lot of them. And they are going to be missed,” said Louise Parrot. She and her husband, Bruce, have lived across the street from the Noels for around 30 years. They said they cant comprehend what happened at the home where their friends Darrel, better known as Bruce, and Glenda both lived and died.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Investigators said Bruce shot and killed his wife, before taking his own life. The two were found by their niece, who knew something was wrong late Sunday night.

“They actually reported it as a murder-suicide. The niece was on the phone with the female victim, and evidently the male party left the room. Shortly after leaving the room there was a loud noise,” said Chief Deputy Scott Elder with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.

After the indescribable boom, deputies said Glenda stopped answering the phone. Then, family rushed to the house and found the two people dead in a bedroom.

“Understandably puzzled. They want to know why, why, why? And unfortunately, we may never know why,” said Elder.

Deputies said they are investigating to unravel what they can. They said no note was left behind, nor strange medication. The Mercer County Coroner said both autopsies will be finished by Tuesday morning. Plus, they said the couple’s medical history will be looked at.

Neighbors said Bruce had been sick with dementia for years. Still, that’s not what friends are focused on.

“They were good neighbors, you could depend on them if you needed help. They were just good people,” said Bruce Parrot. “He was very likable, very friendly, very outgoing. Glenda too. She was very likable, always had a smile on her face,” added Louise Parrot.

Memories that silence the sadness as friends and family say goodbye together.

Wrongful Death Cousin Arrested For Death of 5 Year Old in Dallas

Police have arrested the 17-year-old cousin in the death of a 5-year-old girl, whose body was found Sunday afternoon inside a vacant unit at a northeast Dallas apartment complex.

In a news conference Monday afternoon, Maj. Rob Sherwin announced the arrest of Angel Lizandro Sanches-Zenteno, the cousin of 5-year-old Kathrine Alejandra Gonzalez.

Sherwin said a medical examiner ruled Kathrine’s initial cause of death as strangulation.

Authorities were first called to the Sontera Palms complex in the 9500 block of Royal Lane by the victim’s aunt, who told police she had last seen the young girl playing with her siblings at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Kathrine’s parents said she had been playing with a dog and an older cousin when she disappeared around noon. Residents helped police search for the child until her body was discovered in a vacant unit at about 2:30 p.m.

Neighbor Jenicqua Washington said she was shocked to see what was happening.

“When I got out of the shower, people were just screaming,” she said. “This is right above me, and I looked back outside and they were just crying.”

Police said Kathrine didn’t live at the Sontera Palms complex, but was there with her brothers and sisters under the care of their uncle while their parents were at work.

Authorities said they were led to Sanches-Zenteno by a witness, who reported seeing him with the child shortly before she vanished.

Sanches-Zenteno, the witness and family members were taken to Dallas police headquarters for questioning. Police didn’t reveal what evidence led them to conclude the teen was responsible for her death.

Sherwin said the cousin lived in a separate apartment that was located in a building across from where the children were being cared for by their uncle. Kathrine’s body was found in a vacant unit located next door to Sanches-Zenteno’s apartment.
