Wrongful Death Man Charged in Shooting Death of Somerset Attorney Indicted

A Pulaski County grand jury gave the green light to put a man on trial for allegedly gunning down a prominent Somerset attorney.

Police say Clinton Inabnitt shot and killed Mark Stanziano outside his office on June 27 as the attorney walked into work.

Inabnitt told officers he didn’t want to kill Stanziano, but a deciphered newspaper article and music told him to do it.

Officers say Inabnitt fired off seven rounds, shooting Stanziano multiple times in the torso. A sheriff’s deputy reportedly saw the shooting and took Inabnitt into custody immediately.

Apparently, Inabnitt had approached Stanziano the night before about needing help and the attorney couldn’t help him. Police say Inabnitt had made previous threats toward Stanziano.

Stanziano had more than 30 years of experience in his field. He was involved in a high profile case in Boyle County representing the former pastor charged in a triple shooting at a pawn shop in September 2013. His wife, Bethany, has since taken over the case.

Private Detective, Louisville Cheerleader Died of Multiple Drug Intoxication

A Louisville coroner has confirmed a University of Louisville cheerleader who was found dead in late July died of multiple drug intoxication.

WAVE 3 reports coroner Barbara Weakley-Jones confirmed that 22-year-old Danielle “Dani” Cogswell had heroin, amphetamine, Xanax and marijuana in her system.

Weakley-Jones said heroin, amphetamine and Xanax contributed to Cogswell’s death. Although she also marijuana in her system, the coroner said that was not a contributing factor in the death.

Cogswell was found dead in Cardinal Towne, an off-campus student housing complex with ties to the university, around 9 a.m. on July 28.

On July 30 LMPD said they were treating Cogswell’s death as a suspected overdose.

The university issued a statement about the student’s death:

In addition, over the past year we have been working to ensure that the spirit teams have access to all of the services and benefits that are available to other student athletes.

We have a planned meeting with the spirit teams at which time we will notify them that they will have access to those services which include academic and counseling services along with sports medicine which oversees the drug testing program.”

Wrongful Death Madison County Man Pleads Guilty for Role in 3 Murders

A Madison County man pleaded guilty to murder in the deaths of three people in two separate cases, avoiding the possibility of the death penalty.

Matthew Denholm entered a guilty plea in court Thursday to his role in a sniper-style attack in November 2011 that killed Zachary Flower at his Berea apartment and in the deaths of Charles “Chew” Walker and Sonsary Worford, who were found buried in a field in 2012, two years after they went missing.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Denholm, an Iraq War veteran, told the judge in his own words how he did it, as the families of the victims sat in court.

“I was given money to kidnap Charles Walker at his residence and Sonsaray Warford happened to be there,” Denholm said. “I shot Ms. Warford. I was present when Mr. Walker was killed and later they were placed in an unmarked grave.”

The couple went missing in 2010 and their bodies weren’t found until 2012. Denholm said he was given money to kill Walker who allegedly stole money from someone else.

The couple’s relatives cried listening to Denholm admitting to the crime.

“I don’t really see justice,” said Gregory Todd, Warford’s father. “We just waiting for God to have his way at the end of it.”

In an unrelated case, Denholm also pled guilty to killing aspiring rapper Zackary Flower by shooting him multiple times through a closed door in 2011. But in his explanation, Denholm eluded he acted out of self-defense and the judge didn’t like it.

“I just did it… what I practiced doing,” he said.

“That was not satisfactory,” the judge answered.

Only after Denholm said he intentionally killed Flower, did the judge accept his plea.

Lebruce Ellington is also accused in the death of Walker and Warford. He pleaded not guilty in January 2013. Daniel Keene is also charged in the case.
