The man who was shot in the head in Morehead June 22 has died.

According to police, 20-year-old Bo Otis of Owingsville was pronounced dead at UK Medical Center.

Otis was shot after a home invasion on Rose Road.

Investigators said there were five to six people living in the trailer, but only two were home in the back room when the incident happened.

They said two men knocked on the door, yelled for residents to get on the floor. One resident jumped out a window while Otis went to the living room, where he was shot.

The case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.

Lexington Police say a man ran to a gas station for help after being stabbed several times over the weekend.

Police say the stabbing happened at an apartment complex near the Speedway on Nicholasville Road.

It appears two people were having an argument when one person pulled out a knife and stabbed the man several times. The victim managed to get to that gas station for help.

60-year-old Joe Brashears is charged with assault and tampering with physical evidence. Police say he was found trying to clean up the blood.

Brashears is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon.

Officials in Laurel County are looking for a man and woman they say used counterfeit bills at a store.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says the couple with a small child entered the Walmart near Corbin and used six counterfeit $10 bills on Sunday evening to pay for their purchase in the electronics section of the store.

Four of the bills had the same serial number, the two other bills had different serial numbers, deputies say.

Video footage is being reviewed and the investigation is continuing to identify the possible suspects.

The calls keep coming in about an accused serial thief writing fake trucker’s checks in multiple Kentucky counties. And when one Beattyville merchant saw Bobby Brewer’s picture on LEX 18 last week, he figured out that was the same guy who had paid him a visit last winter using the same fake checks.

“We knew right away that was the same feller,’ said John Donahoo, owner of Dunahoo Furniture in Beattyville.

Donahoo saw 46-year-old Bobby Brewer’s picture on LEX 18 and says that is the same guy who passed a phony $325 trucker’s check in his store back in February.

Donahoo’s son says Brewer bought two lamps then pocketed the remaining $170.

“He was good at distraction,” said John Donahoo, Junior. “Talking the whole time, get you talking about this and talking about that.”

Police say the Smooth talking Brewer has hit at least five counties – Lee, Fleming, Estill, Magoffin and Clark counties, if not more. He was driving a silver colored vehicle, but ditched it in Wolfe County last week.

Brewer’s own mother-in law identified him to authorities after seeing his photo on TV, but as of now, investigators are still looking for him, and so are the Dunahoos.

“We’d like to invite him back,” said Dunahoo Senior. “Invite him back in to pick up his change if he’s got any coming.”

The checks have EFS transcheck written on the top left corner. If you see Brewer, call police.

The Winston-Salem Police Department is currently investigating the whereabouts of a reported Missing Person, 39 year-old Mr. Larry Brian Haynes. Mr. Haynes does not have a permanent residence but was last seen at Forsyth Memorial Hospital on June 8th 2014. Mr. Haynes normally keeps consistent contact with family members and has not done so. Mr. Haynes has a cognitive condition which he takes medication for.

Mr. Hayes is listed as being five feet eight inches tall and weighs approximately 147 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

A local man has been charged with raping a child more than 10 years after the listed date of the offense, an arrest warrant shows.

Angel Herberto Rivera-Cortez, 35, of 4604-E Dansey Drive in Raleigh, was arrested by Raleigh police Saturday. He was charged with one count of first degree rape of a child and two counts of first-degree sex offense with a child.

The warrant names January 2003 to January 2004 as the period in which the offenses took place. It claims the defendant did carnally know and abuse, and engage in sex offenses with a child under the age of 13.

Rivera-Cortez was being held under $3,000,000 bond. He was scheduled to be in court Monday morning.

A Clark County couple has been indicted for allegedly raping two babysitters in their home.

A grand jury indicted Robert Lee for second and third degree rape. His wife, Penny, was indicted for complicity.

Police say the two hired underage girls to babysit their children, provided them with drugs and alcohol and then forced them to have sex once they were under the influence.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Bolivar County man.

Joshua Waldrop was last seen Tuesday, June 17.

Waldrop is described as being 5 foot 9 inches and weighing 195 pounds with light brown hair.

Officials tell News Channel 12, he was last seen driving his beige 2008 Chevrolet 1500 truck with an extended cab.

A quiet, remote area of Madbury, New Hampshire was blocked off by police Sunday as detectives searched an Evans Road home.

“This case started out as a missing person’s case,” said  Jeffery A. Strelzin, a senior assistant attorney general in New Hampshire. “A father in Madbury reported his 18-year-old son missing yesterday.”

Just hours after Madbury and New Hampshire State Police began looking for the missing teen,
Maine police found the body of a young man 40 minutes away in Lebanon.

“An autopsy’s been completed on that individual,” said Strelzin. “It’s been determined that he died as a result of stab wounds and the manner of death is homicide.”

Police are awaiting final identification of the body to confirm it is the missing teen from Madbury.

Meanwhile, the investigation back at his home continues.

“I can tell you that the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit has been out at that residence looking for evidence, and that’s all I can say at this time,” said Strelzin.

The NYPD has issued a Silver Alert for the disappearance of Danielle Selig. She is white, 44 years old, from Manhattan Avenue and Greenpoint Avenue in Brooklyn, has Down syndrome, and can’t speak.

Ms. Selig is 4’6″ tall, weights 90 lbs., and has red hair and green eyes. She was last seen in a doctor’s office at about noon yesterday (Saturday, June 21st) at Gallatin Place and Fulton Street in Brooklyn. She was dressed in a pink shirt, pink pants, and white gloves.
