Pedophile Tracking Myrtle Beach Man Convicted of Producing Child Porn

A 55-year-old Myrtle Beach man pleaded guilty Friday to producing child pornography.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Webster Douglas Williams III entered the guilty plea in federal court to traveling to engage in sex acts with a minor and possession of child porn.

Prosecutors showed that Williams had produced child porn for more than five years by filming his acts with children ranging in ages from 4 to 11. Williams also took children to Florida where he engaged in sexual activities with one of the children, prosecutors said.

When Williams’ house was searched by the Horry County Police Department in November 2011, more than one million images of child pornography were found in the form of pictures and videos on computers, cd’s and elsewhere. Hidden cameras, computers, CDs and other material used by Williams in producing and collecting child pornography were also found and seized.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the maximum sentence Williams faces for producing the child porn is 30 years and $250,000. He faces the same sentence for traveling across state lines to commit sex acts with children; and the possession charge carries a sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The case was investigated as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. For more information, please visit www.projectsafechildhood.gov.

Pedophile Tracking Michigan Christian Radio Show Host Arrested

A second man was arrested Friday as part of a Battle Creek investigation into manufacturing child pornography and having sex with minors.

John Balyo, 35, of Caledonia was arrested in Gaylord as part of a joint investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Battle Creek Police Department and Michigan State Police.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Balyo, an on-air personality at WCSG-FM, a Christian radio station associated with Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, was arrested on a state charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to Khaalid Walls, a spokesman for ICE.

Walls said Friday investigators are alleging that Balyo had sexual encounters with minors in Battle Creek.

ICE said in a statement that Balyo paid a Battle Creek man, Ronald Moser, 42, to arrange sexual encounters with underage children.

Walls said officers executed a search warrant at Balyo’s home in Caledonia and based on the evidence they found went to Gaylord to make the arrest. Other details of the investigation are not being released.

Moser was arrested during the first week of June and indicted on federal child pornography charges. Federal and local officers raided Moser’s home on Bernardo Place on June 5 and said they seized evidence that Moser was making pornography involving young boys.

He was indicted on four counts in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids, including two for sexual exploitation of children, and one each of possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.

Detective Sgt. Jim Martens said a detective from the Battle Creek Police Department accompanied other officers to search Balyo’s house and to arrest him in Gaylord.

Police have alleged Balyo had one sexual encounter with a minor in Battle Creek in May.

He was taken to Grand Rapids for questioning and then will be returned to the Calhoun County jail in Battle Creek to await arraignment, probably on Monday, Walls said.

Federal charges also are expected in the case.

ICE officials said the case is part of Operation Predator, an international investigation into crimes against children which includes manufacturing and distributing child pornography and sex with minors.

Last year agents working in Operation Predator made 2,000 arrests.

WCSG general manager Chris Lemke released the following statement Friday afternoon: “We are shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the arrest and allegations against John Balyo, WCSG morning radio host. He has been put on indefinite paid administrative leave pending further investigation and the legal process. Our thoughts and prayers are with those involved in the investigation.”

Pedophile Tracking Waco, TX Man Sentenced to Life

A twice-convicted felon who sexually abused a 3-year-old girl was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Friday.

Judge Ralph Strother of Waco’s 19th State District Court sentenced Justin Lee Brinegar to the maximum term after a jury found the 42-year-old former Bosqueville man guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 6 on Thursday.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

The jury deliberated about five hours before convicting Brinegar of the first count, but deadlocked on the second count, which charged him with indecency with a child by contact. Strother declared a mistrial on that count.

Brinegar elected to have the judge rather than the jury assess punishment.

“We would like to thank the jury and the judge for their part in this case,” said Assistant District Attorney Landon Ramsay, who prosecuted the case with Gabrielle Massey. “We are extremely pleased with the verdict and sentence. Not only is this justice for our community, but also it is justice for the victims of this predator.

“This verdict will never erase the evil done by this man, but it will provide some closure and a renewed hope for the victims that good will triumph over evil.”

The girl, a relative of Brinegar’s who is now 8 and living in Arkansas, told jurors that Brinegar made her watch a pornographic movie with him while he sexually abused her in 2009.

A 22-year-old woman, who also is a relative of Brinegar’s, testified that he also sexually abused her in 2007 when she was 15. She said she did not report it to anyone until she learned that the younger girl had been assaulted.

The woman told jurors Brinegar told her after the assault that, “sex is just sex, no matter who you have it with.”

“He has to be stopped,” she said. “He can’t keep doing this and then acting like nothing ever happened.”
