Wrongful Death Man Accused in 2010 Murder of Bus Driver Pleads Not Guilty

The man accused of killing a retired Scott County bus driver at her home in 2010 has pleaded not guilty in the case.

Nicholas Willinger entered a not guilty plead in court Wednesday afternoon. Willinger has been indicted on all charges against him – murder, robbery and burglary.

He is accused in the death of Sue Jones at her home in 2010. He was arrested on the fourth anniversary of the death.

Police say another person, Ciji Jefferson, put Willinger up to breaking into Jones’ home telling him Jones would not be there.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Police say when Willinger realized Jones was home, he beat her to death in her bed. The Scott County coroner said the 68-year-old died from blunt force trauma to the head. Police say Jones’ boyfriend discovered her body and called authorities.

Jefferson was arrested in Florida in January, and has been extradited to Kentucky to face burglary charges.

Private Detective Heroin Mailed to Inmate at Madison County Detention Center

The search is on for the person who put heroin in a card and mailed it to an inmate at the Madison County Detention Center.

Jail officials tell us they found a substance inside a card during a routine check of incoming mail.

The substance tested positive for heroin.

We were told there’s always been a problem with people trying to sneak drugs into the jail, but they’ve never dealt with this before.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“This is our first experience with heroin that we’ve caught here, and that’s the reason we’re getting the sheriff’s department, they’re coming up later and going to check to see how much it is, how many grams it may be, and how they weigh it,” Madison County Jailer Doug Thomas said. “But you know, I’m hope we don’t see any more of this, but I think we probably will.”

Officials said they’re looking into whether the inmate who was to receive the card can be charged.
