Private Detective Danville Police Need Help in Home Invasion

Danville police are asking for your help in solving an armed robbery, home invasion. Investigators said they want to talk to Charlotte Wilburn, but don’t know where she is.

“I hope we can just find her and she can tell us who these people were,” said the victim.

Until Wilburn speaks up, the woman who was robbed is living in fear. She is too afraid to show more than her shadow or give her name. It’s all because of the attack that happened at her home on Nokomis Road Sunday afternoon.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“An armed male and female came into her house, just after she let someone else into her house,” said Cpt. James Monroe with the Danville Police Department.

The incident started right before 3:00 p.m. when the victim said Wilburn, her friend’s step mom, knocked on the door looking for her son.

“She acted like she had to get sick. She ran to the back door, unlocked it, and a few minutes later two people came in with masks,” said the victim.

“Held them at gun point, made them not do anything then they went and ransacked the house,” said Monroe.

Police said the man and woman got away with cash. However as the duo left, the victim said Wilburn ran out and jumped in the car with the couple, then drove off

When LEX 18 News asked investigators if Wilburn is considered a suspect, Monroe said “not at this time, it was suspicious but that doesn’t mean anything.”

Investigators said they just want to talk, and figure out who else they’re looking for. Something this victim said can’t come soon enough “I just hope we find out who it was and we get our money back.”

Danville Police ask anyone with information regarding this case to call (859) 238-1220 and ask for Detective Robert Ladd or any on duty supervisor.

Insurance Fraud Woman Arrested in Minneapolis

It wasn’t until Cynthia Davis had a minor fender bender that she realized she’d been taken to the cleaners. The car insurance policy that Davis needed to protect her, wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on.

“Then I called my insurance agent and the number was temporarily not in service,” she said.

http://liarcatchers.com/insurance_fraud.html

That’s because she had no legitimate insurance agent — she’d been sold a phony policy. The person who sold her that policy used the alias, Amelia Hall. She was later identified as 27-year-old Arlesia Shannell Robinson.

Robinson has been arrested and charged for allegedly forging Esurance auto policies. The policy that Davis purchased offered coverage for six months at a premium of $150, which she paid by check.

“You’re getting ripped off. It’s a crime. They’re stealing your money,” said Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman.

The Department of Commerce had its fraud investigators set up a purchase at a Brooklyn Center address. Robinson allegedly gave the undercover officer a “proof of insurance” document, which the Esurance company later confirmed didn’t exist.

Commissioner Rothman said the crime is like a ticking time bomb, doing the most harm when unsuspecting consumers need the coverage the most.

“If you thought you had insurance and you get in an accident, and don’t have it when you need the protection, that’s a problem for everybody in the accident,” he said.

Robinson was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated forgery. But the commissioner said the fraud bureau’s investigation is far from over.

“If it sounds too good to be true, don’t do it,” Davis said.

This is the third such policy mill scam the Commerce Department has uncovered in the last six months.

The ongoing danger is that there could be many, many more unsuspecting motorists holding onto fake auto insurance coverage. Investigators also allege that Robinson had been selling the phony policies since October 2013.

Pedophile Tracking Plainville, MA Man Faces New Allegations

A local man already facing charges he indecently touched two young children, faces new allegations after a third person reported being assaulted.

David J. Puccio, 43, of 5 Valerie Drive in Plainville, was arraigned last Thursday in Wrentham District Court on three new charges — two counts of rape of a child and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child 14 or younger, police said in a statement.

The new charges stem from an investigation by Sgt. Corrina Carter and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. A third juvenile recently came forward in an alleged incident that occurred in the past couple of years, according to police.

Puccio is being held on bail.

He pleaded innocent to indecent assault and battery charges in a case involving two boys at his arraignment on Feb. 3. One of the alleged victims is now an adult and the other is still a minor, according to authorities.
