Wrongful Death Andrea Walker Charged After Body of Baby Found

A body discovered in a ditch over the weekend is that of a 7-week-old baby who went missing more than five weeks ago, and the infant’s mother has been charged with first-degree murder, Memphis Police said Monday.

The physical description and clothing on the body discovered Sunday in Millington, about a half-hour north of Memphis, matched that of Aniston Walker, who was reported missing Jan. 9, police said in a news release.

Police did not say how the baby died. An autopsy was being conducted Monday.

The baby’s mother, Andrea Walker, told police that Aniston disappeared after she left the baby at home with her 3-year-old child while taking her 5-year-old child to school.

Police said Walker called the child’s father, who does not live at the same address, and he reported the baby missing. Walker then left the house again — leaving the 3-year-old alone in the house for an hour — as she traveled to several locations around the city.

Police Director Toney Armstrong said at the time that Walker was not as forthcoming with investigators as they could have wished.

Before Aniston’s body was discovered, Walker had pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated child abuse or neglect. She was free on $250,000 bond before she turned herself in on Monday.

Calls to Walker’s attorney were not immediately returned.

Back in January, police searched for the baby for three days with no results. Then on Sunday, a motorcyclist stopped on the side of the road in Millington saw the child’s body in a ditch and called police.

“It is heartbreaking to confirm that an innocent child’s life has been taken,” Armstrong said in a statement, “but now family members of Aniston Walker can have closure and begin the healing process of losing a loved one.”

Andrea Walker was charged with two counts: first-degree murder in the perpetration of a felony, to wit, aggravated child neglect or endangerment; and first-degree murder in the perpetration of a felony, to wit, aggravated child abuse.

Wrongful Death Robertson County Murder Remains Unsolved Nearing a Decade

Scotty Fulton was shot and killed a decade ago and it’s a murder case yet to be solved.

His body was dumped in an isolated Robertson County Creek.

Family believe some of the people he ran around with may know more about what happened and could even be responsible.

Back on Feb. 29, 2004, two young boys playing along the banks of Johnson Creek made the discovery of Scotty’s body.

“While they were fishing they found Scotty’s body partially submerged in the water,” Kentucky State Police Detective Charles Haselwood said.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Autopsy results revealed Scotty had been shot twice in his body then dumped into the secluded creek.

But police are still trying to figure out who did it and how long he had been there.

“The autopsy report did not provide that specific information,” Det. Haselwood said. “There were individuals who saw Scotty back in November, December and as recent as February when he was found.”

Scotty was never reported missing by family or friends, making it hard to pinpoint the last time anybody had seen or heard from him.

But certain items of clothing he was wearing when found make Scotty’s family believe he was with someone he knew the day he was killed.

“The clothes he had on, he only had those boots on when he fed his dogs at home so either he was close or with someone that he trusted,” Scotty’s brother, James Fulton said.

James said he had been down to the area where his brother’s body was found several times in the last 10 years, trying to connect the dots himself and he doesn’t believe Scotty’s body was dumped where it was found.

“My guess is that it was there at the bridge or back up by the bridge up the gravel road,” he said.

But proving that along with many other things has been the challenge for state police, which may be why no one has been arrested for this murder.

“It is not enough for a jury to provide them with rumors or a good story,” Det. Haselwood said. “A jury needs evidence sufficient enough beyond a reasonable doubt that somebody was killed by this person or group of persons.”

And while the case might be cold, it certainly isn’t collecting dust.

Kentucky State Police plans to use new technology to re-visit some of the evidence in hopes of finding fresh clues.

While in the meantime Scotty’s family waits and holds on to the hope that one day they will know who killed him.

“Thanksgiving, Christmas you know it’s pretty hard,” James said. “He was not a saint but nobody deserves to be done like that.”

If you have any information about the murder of Scotty, contact the Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge.

Liar Catchers discusses finding who owns a P.O. Box

1-Download the Change of Address or Boxholder Request Format–Process Servers from the United States Postal Service website (See Resources.) You may also opt to request a hard copy form from your local postal office.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCcQFjAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fabout.usps.com%2Fwho-we-are%2Ffoia%2Fcoa-or-boxholder-form.pdf&ei=nmwDU6WMA7GayQHRxYHoDQ&usg=AFQjCNGKiyvU3hij45nJhRf9GEWn5kxuAQ&sig2=mSp1XNFrLbEF9HSxDMa22Q&bvm=bv.61535280,d.aWM&cad=rja

2-Print out the form and fill in all known information. Some blanks may be left empty if you do not have access to the information. However, the more information you are able to provide to the postal service, the better your chances of receiving the information you require. If you are not an official process server or attorney, list yourself as the party representing self. If you are representing yourself pro se in a court of law, you are entitled, under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA,) to obtain the same information that a process server or attorney is entitled to.
3-Mail your completed form to the custodian of the records requested. In most cases, this will be the head of the facility (usually the postmaster) where the box is physically located. In some cases, the postmaster and other employees at the U.S. Postal Service may not be properly informed of the laws regarding the release of the information you request. If you do not hear from the post office within 20 working days after you expect that they have received your request, call the postmaster to check the status of your request.

If you are unable to obtain the desired information from the postmaster at the relevant post office, don’t be afraid to work your way up the chain until you are able to obtain the desired results. These people will be more likely to take your request seriously if you are able to accurately cite the FOIA when requesting information.
