How much does a home surveillance system cost?

With all of the home invasions lately, Liar catchers Electronic surveillance looks at the cost to have a home video system.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

1- Cost of 4 camera system with DVR which records up to 90 days is about $399. Important to note there is NO RE-OCCURRING FEES. Once you pay for the system it is paid for.

2- The system should have internet access so you can view the cameras from your smartphone or computer from another location.

3- The systems are extremely easy to install and most have a 800 number for support who will dial into your home computer and set up all of the settings for free.

4- Please the cameras high and try to get them as “out of sight” as you can.

5- Aim one at each entry point ( front door, back door , garage entry ) and the last of the 4 should be aimed at the area most likely to attract thieves ( living room television as an example )

6- Try to hide the DVR after installation and place a small piece of black electrical tape over the red blinking light so it does not attract attention. This is your recording of whomever may enter your home.

Please feel free to contact Liar Catchers for any questions about which systems work well. We have been very fond of the SWANN systems which can be found at places like Lowes, Wal-Mart etc )

Identity Theft Different Forms

Hackers now have credit card numbers and contact information of millions of people after the Target and Neiman Marcus data breach.

By now, you may have changed your card numbers and PIN codes, but experts warn, you still need to be cautious of the e-mails and phone calls you may receive.

Credit.com advisers said identity thieves can engage in a form of “-ishing” to steal more information.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Bob Brandon of Agawam said, “People have to really keep their guard up and not just trust what somebody’s asking or telling them. There is a good chance that they are being scammed, and they have to be very, very careful.”

If you have an e-mail account, watch out for “phishing” or “spear-phishing.” That’s when hackers e-mail their victims, claiming to be a financial company or a friend. “Vishing” and “smishing” are when hackers call or text you.

Wrongful Death Woman Indicted in Fatal Laurel Co Crash

A grand jury indicted a woman for murder in connection with a crash that led to the death one person in Laurel County back in November.

Police say Cora Wilson, 35, was on drugs when she caused a crash on Nov. 27 along KY-80. Five people were hospitalized after that collision. Darlene Woods, 58, died from her injuries on Dec. 7.

The Corbin Tribune reports the grand jury handed down a five-count indictment last Friday. Along with the murder charge, Wilson faces three assault and DUI charges.

The grand jury also indicted Wilson on a trafficking charge stemming from an incident last summer. Police say officers found two grams of meth for resale in her possession last July.

Wilson will return to court next month.
