Pedophile Tracking Friendswood, TX Man Faces Felony Charges for Teen Prostitution Ring

A lurid story of money and prostitution continues to unfold in the teen sex ring investigation involving the recent arrest of Friendswood resident Michael Wayne McIntosh, 62, who is accused of having sexual encounters with multiple underage girls in exchange for money.

According to Galveston County court documents, McIntosh was kicked out a Webster restaurant last February for trying to solicit sex from waitresses. But, the trouble didn’t stop there. In the months that followed McIntosh continued to flirt with waitresses at Clear Lake area sports bars; giving his favorites large amounts of money in tips each time he visited. The gradual grooming process escalated to luring his victims to his Friendswood home where he continued to hand out cash; growing more aggressive with each visit and demanding sexual favors, according to court records.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

One 15-year-old victim told forensic interviewers she visited the suspect’s home with a 17- year-old friend for the “sole purpose of getting money.” By the second visit, the girl said McIntosh started talking about graphic sexual activities and becoming more pushy. On the third visit, the suspect allegedly demanded sex and when the girl refused, McIntosh allegedly forced himself on her. Afterwards, the suspect handed over $800 and told the girl not to tell anyone because “Our business is our business,” according to court records.

Webster Police Detective David Nettles said the investigation was launched after school officials from Clear Creek Independent School District contacted him when rumors were heard involving a man known as “Money Mike” having inappropriate relationships with multiple high school students.

“We contacted parents and victims began to come forward,” Nettles said when contacted by The Citizen.

Court records indicate five 15-year-old girls and three 17-year-old girls told police a disturbingly similar story of being driven to the suspect’s home by a 17-year-old female acquaintance, someone detectives now alleged acted as McIntosh’s pimp and took a cut of each girl’s payout.

It is thought the suspect’s young accomplice could have entered his world as a victim at first before starting her own private prostitution business by pushing younger girls she considered “easy to manipulate” to meet with the suspect.

On Thursday (Nov. 7) detectives arrested the 17-year-old girl on felony charges of Compelling Prostitution. She was taken to the Galveston County Jail and later released on $40,000 bond. A grand jury is expected to consider the charges in the coming weeks.

McIntosh was arrested on three felony charges of Sexual Assault of a Child and later released on bonds totaling $120,000.

“We believe there could be many more young girls who were victimized by the suspect,” Nettles said. “Some may be scared or embarrassed to talk about what happened but we need their help and ask they come forward.”

Anyone with information related to the case is urged to call Webster Police Detective David Nettles at 281-316-4169.

Missing Person Brazilian Man in San Francisco Called 911 Before Disapperance

The search for a young Brazilian man, missing in San Francisco, is becoming more desperate.

23-year-old Paulo Netto hasn’t been seen since Monday October 28, the same day he made a series of frantic phone calls to friends and family. And it turns out, he also made a call to Emergency dispatchers.

“He actually called 911” sister Ana Reis told KTVU.

It’s a detail San Francisco Police Inspectors just shared with her.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“That makes everything harder,” said Reis, “Because he was actually in trouble and we don’t know what kind of trouble it is.”

A patrol car went to the Shotwell Street location of Netto’s calls, but there was no sign of him. Missing Persons investigators have not released the 911- recording. But if it’s like the calls Netto made to his sister and parents, he was likely pleading for help, claiming he was in trouble an hiding from unidentified people who wanted to harm him.

Netto’s friend and classmate, Kevin Viriato, received a panicked call in Los Angeles, where both are arts students.

“It was like Kevin, please please help me, please help me, please help me,” recalled Viriato, to KTVU. He urged Netto to call authorities. “I told him, if you’re in trouble, call the police, they’re the best people to help you. He’s like ‘Oh, oh, oh’ then he hung up.”

This week, Viriato retrieved Netto’s laptop computer from his apartment, and turned it over to Los Angeles detectives, who sent it on to San Francisco. Inspectors are now combing it for contacts he may have made before his visit to the city.

They have determined, through Netto’s cell phone history, that he stayed with someone in San Francisco, when he wasn’t at hotels or hostels.

Police have interviewed that person, but have not said whether he is a person of interest in the investigation.

A few days into Netto’s disappearance, an unidentified man was caught on surveillance video using his credit card at a McDonald’s restaurant on 16th Street in the Mission District.

“Somebody out there knows what happened to this kid. Somebody out there has information,” Rick Smith of Canon Street Investigations told KTVU.

Smith is a retired FBI agent, turned private investigator, helping Netto’s family with their search.

“Right now it’s a sad story. It could still have a good ending, but it needs to happen fairly soon,” said Smith.

For the Reis family; Ana, her parents, and an uncle, all from Rio Verde, Brazil, it is an agonizing wait for answers, but they are not giving up. As they walk city streets, the tourist chatter is lost on them, the iconic sights unseen. They only want one thing from this six thousand mile trip, Paulo home safely.

“We believe he is alive,” 19-year-old Ana told KTVU. “Something really strong inside all of us is saying, he is alive. We know that he’s in danger, but we know that he’s alive.”

The family plans to raise awareness by leafleting in the Mission District, on Sunday November 10. They’re asking volunteers to meet them at 1p.m. in Dolores Park, and they’re reaching out to fellow Brazilians in the community for help.

Wrongful Death Remains Found in Trunk was that of Fort Worth Woman

Remains discovered in September in the trunk of a missing Fort Worth woman’s car found southeast of Waco have been identified as the 59-year-old woman’s, police confirmed Friday.

Adrian Denise Thornton, a lifetime Fort Worth resident described by friends as sweet but extremely private, was reported missing June 15 by a longtime friend.

Police fliers indicate that Thornton was last seen June 1.

A passer-by found her purse and identification — slightly burned but still legible — in mid-June off a state highway in Falls County.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

On Sept. 22, a man looking for deer spotted Thornton’s Lincoln Continental Town Car in high weeds several hundred yards off County Road 414, off Texas 7 between Shelton and the Brazos River.

The car, which had blood on the outside, was found to be registered to the missing woman. It was impounded and taken to the Department of Public Safety crime lab in Waco, where the decomposing remains were found in the trunk.

The remains were sent to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office, which recently identified them as Thornton’s, Fort Worth homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson confirmed Friday.

Johnson declined to release additional details, including whether the cause of death has been determined. She said no arrests have been made.

Thornton’s disappearance and death have shocked those who knew her.

Johnnye Hughes, 92, had attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church with Thornton’s parents, Bob and Mildred Thornton, and had known Thornton since she was 2.

An only child, Thornton was a good but shy girl who often had to be pushed into activities by her mother, Hughes said.

She remained introverted as she grew up, Hughes said. Thornton served a short time in the military, Hughes said, then worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

She never married or had children but remained close to her mother, caring for her at the Meadowbrook home they shared until Mildred Thornton died in 2011, Hughes said.

After her mother’s death, Thornton became harder to reach, Hughes said. Messages left on her answering machine rarely got a response.

“She didn’t bother anyone. As a matter of fact, we had to bother her,” Hughes said. “We just can’t understand. It just had to have been a stranger or something that would even attempt to harm her. She’s just a quiet, sweet person.”

Sarah Walker, a sorority sister of Thornton’s mother, said Thornton’s disappearance had weighed heavily on her and her sorority sisters all summer.

“She wouldn’t have just walked off,” Walker said.

“… You don’t want to just be left unknown,” Walker said. “Just because she didn’t have any family, she did have an extended family and that’s us in Fort Worth who she grew up with.”

Pedophile Tracking Idaho Man Gets 16 Years for Porn

A northern Idaho man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison because prosecutors say he is a sex offender who was found with child pornography.

The Coeur d’Alene Press reports 39-year-old James Morales was sentenced Wednesday on three counts of child pornography and a probation violation. Prosecutors say his probation stemmed from his conviction in 2007 for sexual contact with a child.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Morales’ defense attorney asked the judge to sentence Morales to a six month treatment program on the child pornography charges. But the judge declined, instead handing down the longer sentence recommended by Kootenai County Deputy Prosecutor Joshua Studor.

Prosecutors said Morales began downloading child pornography in 2012, immediately after his probation status was changed to unsupervised.

Wrongful Death Harris County Homicide Detective Believes Woman Burned and Scattered

Homicide detectives believe the remains of a missing person are scattered in the front and back yards of a Harris County, Texas home.

Officials say Wende Marshall, 44, has been missing since October 30.

Investigators say the bizarre string of events started last week when Marshall vanished.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Neighbors put up these posters in the area, but deputies say it wasn’t until Tuesday when a neighbor noticed thick, black smoke coming from the home’s chimney.

Officials believe Marshall was burned and killed several days ago.

Missing Person Dedrick Smith of Winston-Salem Missing 7 Years, $10k Reward

A Clemmons man is offering a $10,000 reward to solve a missing person’s case from seven years ago.

Dedrick Smith’s mother last heard from her son Oct. 2, 2006. He’s been missing ever since.

Dedrick was 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed about 178 pounds at the time he was reported missing.

Despite efforts over the years to find Dedrick, the family still has not heard from him or received any information on his location. They even put up a billboard along Silas Creek Parkway in 2012 with a photo of Dedrick.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

In April 2012, family members told WFMY News 2 that his disappearance is puzzling. They said even his car, a ’93 Pontiac Grand AM with NC plate number NYB3645, has vanished. His mother said he was with his girlfriend when he called her at 2 a.m. to tell her he wasn’t coming home the night they last spoke.

Rick Baker, a writer and missing person’s activist, is willing to pay big money for finding Dedrick. “Someone knows something,” he said.

But he wants proof.

Baker says people can report anonymously, but they need to show him that Dedrick is alive or give evidence of his death.

He plans to offer the reward through the rest of 2013.

If you have any information about Dedrick, call (760) 212-3839 or email rglennbaker@mac.com.

Missing Person Volunteers Continue to Search for NH Teen

As the search for a missing North Conway girl continues, about 50 local, state and federal authorities and volunteers are combing the areas around the route she walked from school to home before vanishing earlier this week.

Police say 14-year-old Abigail Hernandez left Kennett High School around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon and they believe she made it home. But when her mother arrived home, the girl was gone.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

At a news conference Friday, Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said there’s nothing suspicious so far and that the large law enforcement presence has just one goal.

“We’re here for one reason: To do what we can to find Abby,” Young said.

Abigail’s 15th birthday is Saturday.

Police won’t discuss specific evidence but say they’re treating her disappearance as a missing person’s case.

About 15 New Hampshire Fish & Game officers are involved and used a boat to search a nearby pond Friday as a precaution.

Picture

On land, teams fanned out in lines, carefully searching the area at the southeast corner of the White Mountains.

The search began at the girl’s house where Young said the family has been extremely cooperative. The search is focused so far on the areas surrounding the path Abigail took from school to home. Investigators are also combing through social media sites and phone records looking for details.

The FBI has enlisted the help of its Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team and has agents from as far away as Virginia assisting in the search. They are using the 1-800-CALL-FBI tip line as well as the www.tips.fbi.gov website if people have any information about Abigail.

Abigail is 5-foot-4-inches tall and weighs 118 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing black stretch pants, tall brown boots and a light colored sweater with a yellow pattern and flecks.

Private Detective Break in Lincoln County Rape Investigation

Stanford police say they have a break in a rape investigation involving a 92-year-old woman.

Investigators say DNA evidence in the rape matches up to a man already in the Lincoln County Regional Jail on other charges. Police say evidence indicates Kevin Montez Higgins, 28, broke into the 92-year-old woman’s home, and beat, robbed and raped her last June. The victim required hospitalization.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Officials say the grand jury will convene later this month to consider the case. They say Higgins could face indictment on rape and robbery charges.

Higgins already faces several other charges including burglary, theft by unlawful taking and fleeing police.
