Waco police issued a missing person report Sunday evening for Jesse James Moore, 73, last seen about 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Moore was thought to have taken the family car from his west Waco home about 8:30 a.m. He said Moore’s wife said he suffers from dementia.

Moore is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds with gray and black hair. He was wearing khaki shorts and a white T-shirt.

The car is a 2006 silver Chevrolet Cobalt with Texas license plates BR8Y814 and a missing left front hubcap.

Officials in Caldwell County are asking the public to stay away from the Wilson’s Creek, Brown Mountain Beach and Playmore Beach areas Sunday as they continue searching for a missing 48-year-old Charlotte man.

Officials said that two families from Charlotte came to Wilson’s Creek to swim on Saturday.

They said a 10-year-old girl, also from Charlotte, disappeared in the rising water around 6:45 p.m.

According to officials, a kayaker saw the body of the 10-year-old and flagged down rescuers in the area.

They said that the girl had died at Caldwell Memorial Hospital as a result of her injuries.

Officials said that the 10-year-old and 48-year-old are not related.

The search for the man stopped late Saturday night and resumed Sunday morning at 8 a.m.

Authorities say a female body has been pulled from New York’s Hudson River near where a bride-to-be and her fiance’s best man went missing after a boat crash.

Officials stopped short Saturday of saying whether they had recovered the body of 30-year-old Lindsey Stewart, of Piermont. Stewart’s mother says she plunged into the river after the accident late Friday.

The best man also went missing after the wreck.

Stewart was set to be married Aug. 10.

Officials say four people were hospitalized after a speedboat carrying six friends crashed into a construction barge in a nighttime accident near the Tappan Zee Bridge.

A bride-to-be and the best man in her wedding are missing after a speedboat crashed into a construction barge on the Hudson River near New York’s Tappan Zee Bridge.

Carol Stewart tells WABC-TV that her 30-year-old daughter, Lindsey Stewart, is missing after Friday night’s crash. She identified the other missing person as the best man in the wedding, which was scheduled for Aug. 10.

Authorities say four other people were hurt in the crash, some badly.

Rockland County Sheriff’s Department Chief William Barbera said at a Saturday news conference that the accident happened shortly after the boat left Piermont for a short trip across the river to Tarrytown.

Rescuers searched for the missing boaters for several hours overnight before suspending the hunt. They resumed the search Saturday morning.
