A 56-year-old man who has developmental disabilities was reported missing Thursday and has gone without his medicine since being seen in downtown Joliet, officials said.

Michael Anderson hasn’t been spotted since he left the Cornerstone Services, an agency that provides services to individuals with disabilities, officials said.

Anderson has expressed interest in train travel and officials at Cornerstone believe he may have taken the Metra train from Joliet to Chicago.

On Saturday at approximately 8:00 P.M. authorities received a report of a missing kayaker along the Minnesota River near Courtland.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office says three males were kayaking along the river, when the affected watercraft overturned.

Two men were able to make it to shore and call for help. One man still remains missing.

Several agencies responded to the incident and searched the area. Search efforts will resume on Sunday morning.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office says all of the kayakers involved were from Watertown, South Dakota. Officials say it is believed a life jacket was not being worn by the missing kayaker.

Search and rescue crews on Saturday found the body of a man who drowned while fishing on the Missouri River at La Benite Park near Sugar Creek hours before, authorities said.

The man, identified by a relative at the scene as Joshua Reek, 22, was with a friend when Reek apparently was swept away about 7:15 a.m.

“He went out to swim a couple of times and then was pulled away by the current,” said Sidney McGinley, 18, who identified herself as Reek’s first cousin. “He was a great father, a great cousin, always laughing and always smiling.”

The Missouri Highway Patrol had rescue boats on the river during the day, assisted by the Sugar Creek fire and police departments. There was no official confirmation of the man’s identity.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for Macala Shelton, 13, of Iberia, Mo.

Shelton was last seen going to bed at 11:45 p.m., last night. Shelton’s grandmother went to wake her at approximately 1 p.m. today and she was not there, according to the sheriff.

Selton is five-feet, 1-inch tall, weighs 90 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing black framed glasses, a neon yellow baseball shirt with the number “8” on it and black shorts.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Miller County Sheriff’s Office at 573-369-2341.

The family of 20-year-old Felicia Moore has reported her as missing.

Moore was last seen in the 1500 block of Hardee St. on 6-10-2013 and has not been in contact with her family since.

She is described as 5’7″tall, weighs 220 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

Moore’s family reported that she has been threatened on at least two occasions recently and that it is not like her to go without contacting them.
