SYRACUSE — Police are searching for a 41-year-old man who has been missing since Sunday.
Kenneth Wayne Wallace, of Syracuse, was last seen leaving his home, which is in the area of 1000 West and 3000 South, between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. on foot. He was wearing a lightweight black jacket, black hat, blue jeans and flip-flops, Syracuse Lt. Tracy Jensen said.

Wallace is listed on the National Crime Center’s system as a missing/endangered person.
Jensen said that with storms coming in, officers, friends and family are concerned about Wallace’s welfare.
Jensen said Wallace has not used his debit card since Sunday morning and did not take his car or his cellphone.
Wallace also has had no contact with family members, friends or coworkers.
“This is uncharacteristic of him,” Jensen said.
Wallace, who is white, is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds, and has a goatee, brown hair and brown eyes.
Jensen said police have searched the area south of where Wallace was last seen, which is “a lot of open space.
“We saw nothing.”
Officers also have conducted grid searches in the Syracuse area with a command post at Jensen Park. They have searched homes, trailers, fields and outbuildings in the area. Rescue K-9s also searched the area but found nothing, Jensen said.
A reverse 911 was sent out Tuesday notifying neighbors that Wallace was missing, giving his description and asking for help. Officers have followed up on every lead, Jensen said.
Jensen said there is some concern that Wallace might be having some mental health problems and could be suicidal, but “we can’t confirm that until we talk to him.”
“We’re just running out of options, and we are concerned he may have hurt himself,” Jensen said.
Jensen said Wallace could have gotten a ride with someone, or someone may have picked him up while he was out walking.
Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse police at 801-825-4400.
