The family of a young Lexington father murdered overnight is mourning his death, as investigators continue their search for the accused gunman.
Anthony Logan, 22, was shot and killed Saturday around 11:30 p.m. on Cambridge Drive.
“I’m just heartbroken right now,” said Regina Oxendine, the victim’s sister. “He was only 22 and for him to just lose his life that short, it was just, I still don’t believe it.”

Logan was preparing for a night out to celebrate his birthday, when police say, he was gunned down during a fight.
“It’s ‘pow pow pow’, four shots and you gone. My brother’s gone for eternity,” said Oxendine.
Oxendine was on her way to meet up with her baby brother, when she heard the gunfire. She ran to his side, but it was too late.
“This was like the wrongest way for him to die. He didn’t deserve it. Don’t nobody deserve to die like this,” Oxendine told LEX 18.
On Sunday, police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Brandon Lamont Bailey, 28, the man they say murdered Logan.
“He don’t go around thinking he’s tough, you know? He was Anthony, so why did you have to kill my brother?” said Vinchezz Major, the brother of Logan’s girlfriend.
“I feel like it’s an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. What you do to another person will come back to you ten times worse,” said Oxendine.
Logan’s family plans to hold a memorial service in his honor Monday at 7 p.m. at the scene of the shooting along Cambridge Drive.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
If you have any information as to Bailey’s whereabouts, you are asked to contact Lexington Police.
