One man was hospitalized following a crash in Lexington Saturday morning.
Police say it was a one-vehicle accident, but the driver nearly collided with a few other vehicles in the process.
Police say a vehicle was headed outbound on Versailles Road from Lexington just past New Circle Road when the driver suddenly veered the car into Multiple Lanes of traffic.
One witness told police they saw a man slumped over in his car.

Police suspect the man suffered a medical emergency, lost control of the vehicle and ended up on the other side of the multi-lane road against a tree.
“One of the witnesses indicated she actually saw him starting to swerve across lanes of traffic into her lane and she was able to slow down to avoid the collision,” says Sgt Scott May with Lexington Police.
Police say it’s possible that the witnesses of the crash likely saved the man’s life.
A passerby stopped and assisted by providing first aid including CPR for the gentlemen until EMS arrived says Sgt. Scott May.
Sgt. May and Lexington Police closed one inbound lane of traffic as they investigated.
At last check, Lexington Police say the driver was at UK Hospital and his condition was serious.
