Lexington police say they have made an arrest in a weekend shooting near the University of Kentucky campus.
Police say a man fired shots at a car driving along Bolivar Street, near the Tolly Ho restaurant, around 2:30 a.m. Bullets hit the driver and a passenger in the car. A third person in the vehicle was not injured. Officers say the men drove themselves to the hospital, and the two victims suffered life threatening injuries.

Police say they obtained a warrant for Dynell A. Stewart, 21, on Monday and arrested him with the help of Frankfort police. He was charged with assault and wanton endangerment.
Police say there could be additional charges.
