A 29-year-old Leadville man was arrested at about 5:44 p.m. Saturday at Fifth Avenue and Emery Street after he, two other men and one woman were accused of stealing gift cards from Office Max, 1120 Ken Pratt Blvd. In the man’s vehicle, police found dozens of fraudulent or stolen checks, three fake Colorado driver’s licenses and mail suspected to be stolen. The man was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, driving with a restrained license, identity theft, criminal possession two or more ID documents and possession of ID theft tools, police said .

A woman told police Thursday that someone had broken two windows and damaged a screen door at her home on the 1400 block of Sherri Mar Street.
After police stopped a gold, convertible Chrysler Sebring for defective taillights at 5:04 p.m. Friday on the 1600 block of Main Street, they arrested the driver. The 36-year-old Lyons woman smelled of alcohol, but passed roadside sobriety tests police said. She was arrested on suspicion of having an open container, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
