An Osceola County woman is charged with attempting to burn down her own home to collect the insurance money.
The investigation began in May 2008 when Marion Fire Department responded to a house fire in Middle Branch Township. The fire chief contacted the Osceola County Sheriff Department and the Michigan State Police Fire Marshal Division. Investigators have now determined the fire is a case of arson.

Terry Lynn Leach, 59, of Marion was arrested at her home on April 2. She was arraigned in the 77th District Court on multiple charges including arson and insurance fraud.
A 46-year-old man was also taken into custody in connection with the case. He was arrested in Dekalb County Georgia and will be sent back to Michigan.
If convicted, both individuals face up to 20 years in prison.
