A body was found after a fire was put out at a home in Orange County early Thursday morning, and the discovery has launched a homicide investigation, according to officials
Firefighters said flames were shooting from the roof of a Radiant Circle home when they arrived to fight them about 4:45 a.m.
The blaze engulfed and destroyed the home, which has been vacant for more than a year and was in foreclosure.

Firefighters discovered the body in a small sports car parked in the garage’s home after knocking down the blaze.
Neighbors were alerted to the fire when they heard popping noises, which authorities think were the car tires popping under the intense heat.
The body is too badly burned to be identified, and deputies still aren’t sure of the gender.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Fire marshals will look into what started it.
