A Macon County man is behind bars on child sex charges.
Christopher Lee Burk, 50, of Matlock Creek Road, was charged with six counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a news release from Sheriff Robert Holland.
Burk was arrested Friday at Asheville Regional Airport. Holland said the investigation is continuing.

“Because this is an ongoing investigation I will not be releasing any other details,” Holland said. “I will ask the public to report any information regarding this investigation to my office. I am confident that my detectives will conduct a thorough investigation and present all the facts for the prosecution of this case.”
Burk is being held at the Macon County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.
