A McCreary County man has been arrested after he allegedly made threats in front of staff about making explosive devices and threatening an elementary school he works at.
Police say the teacher, James Paulson, 50, was upset the district will be letting a few teachers go next year (he wasn’t going to lose his job). He’s been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening. Police did not find any explosive devices at the school, Pine Knott Elementary, and did not find any explosives at Paulson’s house, either.

However, police say there is evidence that Paulson visited websites that have instructions on how to make bombs, including pressure cooker bombs.
Bond has been denied for Paulson, who was deemed a danger to society in a bond hearing.
Paulson is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center. His arraignment is set for May 16.
