A woman who originally signed a plea agreement and thought she couldn’t be charged after helping investigators find two bodies in a Johnson County murder case pleaded guilty in the case Friday.
On Monday, Willie Blanton was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing his parents, Larry and Sandy Blanton. The couple went missing last year and weren’t seen for months until their son’s girlfriend, Amanda Fannin, helped police find their bodies in February on the Blantons’ own property.

According to paperwork obtained by LEX 18, investigators were originally under the impression that Fannin had no involvement in the murder, and that they thought she just found out about it after the fact. But, according to investigators, four people came forward telling the Sheriff’s Office that Fannin told them that not only was she present during the murder of at least Sandra Blanton, but they say she also helped dispose of the bodies and clean up the murder scene.
On Friday, Fannin pleaded guilty hindering prosecution. She can face up to three years in prison when she is sentenced.
