Authorities say they have arrested a Kansas City man on charges of attempted enticement of a child, attempted statutory rape and trafficking for purposes of sexual exploitation.
The Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force and members of the Platte County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Craig on July 22, according to a statement issued Sunday. Craig is accused of attempting to engage in sexual contact with a person he believed to be 13 years old in exchange for money.

Craig is being held at the Platte County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
The task force comprises investigators from the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Gladstone Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Liberty Police Department, Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Platte County Sheriff’s Office.
