The Laurel Sheriff’s Office has arrested four individuals they say were involved in drug trafficking.
The arrests came Tuesday afternoon at about 5 p.m. following an investigation into drug trafficking within 1,000 feet of South Laurel High School. A search warrant was executed at two locations.
At the first location, on Apartment Complex Road in London, two individuals were arrested following a drug investigation where marijuana was being sold within 1,000 feet of a school. Arrested were Joshua L. Hess, 27, of London, who was charged with: Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces), 1st offense and Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Also arrested there was Clayton Blanton, 29, of London, who was charged with: Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces), 1st offense, and Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

At approximately the same time, sheriff’s office detectives and deputies arrested two suspects on Finley Trailer Park Road, one mile south of London. Arrested were Jerry A. Russell, 23, of London, and Michelle Russell, 28, of London. Both were charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces), 1st offense.
All four suspects are being held in the Laurel County Detention Facility.
