Wrongful Death DNA Sought in Inmate Killing

Federal prosecutors say they want a DNA sample from a prison inmate who is accused of killing another inmate.

Travis Millner could face the death penalty if he’s convicted in the murder of Vincent Earl Smith.

Prosecutors say Millner used shank to stab Smith, then strangled him in the cell they shared at the Big Sandy Federal Prison.

So far, it’s not clear what started the fight.

Millner is serving time for another murder and has also been convicted of other crimes while in prison.
