A Johnson County man accused of killing a woman last month in Knott County entered a not guilty plea in the case Friday.
Gary Ward, 37, is charged with murder, evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse. Police say he killed Christina Barnett then hid her body under a pile of trash. Her family found her in some Knott County woods.

Barnett’s mother says she believes the two met online.
Ward goes back to court in March.
