Missing Person Alex Johnson Still Missing

Family and friends of a University of Kentucky cook that seemingly vanished earlier this month are trying to get the word out in every way possible, including social media.

A page to “Find Alex Johnson” has been set up on Facebook to help in the search. His family hopes this will finally lead them to answers.

Monday marked 10 days since anyone has seen or heard from Alex Johnson. Lexington police say the circumstances behind his disappearance are “suspicious.”

His family said the 32-year-old missed a work meeting in Lexington on Saturday, Dec. 21, and he didn’t show up to his family’s home in Bowling Green, two days later. According to police, he hasn’t used his cell phone since Friday Dec. 20, and there’s been no bank activity. His truck is still parked in front of his home on North Hanover.

The night of Dec. 20, Alex was apparently on the phone with his girlfriend, when there was a knock at the door. He hung up and never called back.

The story has received national attention, including the Huffington Post.

A prayer service will be held for Alex Monday night in Simpson County, on the Courthouse Square in downtown Franklin at 7 o’clock central time.

As of Monday morning, investigators said they have no new updates on this case.
