Thanks to social media and email, a neighborhood was able to get out the word on a strange man trying to lure a 2-year-old into his car very quickly Tuesday.
The incident happened around the 300 block of Kingsway Drive and thanks to a vigilant neighborhood watch group, word spread quickly.
A message sent out to the neighborhood reported that a strange car stopped in front of a little boy and asked if he wanted to see the bunnies he had in the trunk.
The babysitter watching the little boy described him as a white male in his 60’s or 70’s wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans.

He was driving an older, possibly 1990s model black sedan and had circled the area a few times before finally stopping to try and talk to the little boy.
One neighbor said it was an unsettling feeling with the weather warming up and lots of little kids will be getting outside.
She said she’ll do things differently which includes keeping track of who’s coming and going from their street.
Police encourage anyone who sees something suspicious to report it immediately.
In the meantime, officers will be making extra rounds in the area, looking for the vehicle matching the description.
