Missing Person Cheyanne Knapp of Union City, Mich.

It’s now been 72 hours, since anyone has seen a missing Branch County Teen.

14-year-old Cheyanne Knapp left Union City Middle School Wednesday and never made it home.

State Police sent out a Nationwide missing person alert Thursday morning and have been following leads ever since.

Newschannel 3 spoke with Cheyanne’s family, passing out flyers in Union City Friday.

April Knapp says her life these past three days has been in the car, searching for Cheyanne.

She says she just got a tip someone saw her daughter at a Coldwater gas station.

“Someone thought they had spotted her there the night she went missng they let us look at the footage – it wasnt her,” said April Knapp.

State Police have been following up on a number of calls, but none have gone anywhere.

“We’ve contacted the school to see who she’s friends with and who she hangs around with and were going to their houses knocking on doors talking to people trying to see if she’s in this area and if so is she at their houses,” said Sgt. William House, State Police Coldwater Post.

Despite it being more than a day since police sent the alert, they do not believe Cheyanne is in any danger. This is why an Amber Alert has not been issued.

“We think shes in the area shes staying somewhere some adult knows where shes at and if we find out who that adult is we will be seeking charges,” said Sgt. House.

“Stop take two seconds look at the picture know your surroundings so maybe we can bring more kids home,” said Knapp.

Cheyanne Knapp was last seen wearing a pink hoodie and jeans. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, is 5’2″ and weighs about 110 pounds.

If you have any information you’re asked to call State Police at (517) 278-2373.
