Private Detective, Two in the Hospital After Shooting in Lexington

An early morning shooting on Corral Street in Lexington sends two people to the hospital.

Lexington Metro Police confirm that around 3:30 this morning they received a report of multiple shots fired. Shortly after, the two victims arrived at UK hospital with gunshot wounds to their arms and legs. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Police say that the victims were standing outside a home on the 300 block of Corral Street when a vehicle drove by and began firing rounds at the victims. A vehicle with multiple bullet holes was on the scene, but it is believed to be the one in which the victims were transported to UK hospital.

At this time, police have no suspect in custody for the shooting. However, during the course of the investigation, a Pontiac driven by 23 year old Trevor Spencer was stopped at the intersection of Limestone and Avenue of Champions. Police performed a routine traffic stop after noticing multiple bullet holes in the car and discovered a firearm while performing a search. Spencer was arrested for felony posession of a firearm, however the Police have not yet established a link between Spencer and the Corral Street shooting.
