A man has been arrested after a brief standoff with Lexington Police Wednesday afternoon.
Police say it all started as a drug bust at a home on Winter Garden, from where Daniel Buckley escaped in a car. Buckley then crashed at Alumni Dr. and Yellowstone, jumped out of the vehicle and tried to steal a moped and a car to escape, but wasn’t successful.
Police say he then ran on foot and broke into a duplex on High Ridge. The people who live there were home and told officers they didn’t know the man.

Police called ERU and command center for a standoff and Buckley quickly surrendered.
He is charged with trafficking in marijuana. Police say more charges are expected.
