Private Detective: Clark County Man Pleads Not Guilty in Robbery

A Clark County man accused of robbing a gas station pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.

The bond remains at $50,000 for Curtis Wilkerson because of the violent charge, even though he says he did nothing wrong.

Clark County Judge Earl Neal entered a not guilty plea for Wilkerson who, according to police, was the lookout guy while his friend tried to rob the 96 Truck Stop.

Wilkerson told LEX 18 that Davon Marshall put a gun to his head and he didn’t know why his so-called friend would do such a thing. Meanwhile, police say Wilkerson’s partner-in-crime was shot by the store owner. He was later found in a nearby field.

Wilkerson, according to police, was held down by people in the store until help arrived. Turns out that wasn’t his first offense. Officers say the duo robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in Winchester earlier this week.

Wilkerson maintains his innocence.

“I shouldn’t be in jail, I didn’t do nothing,” he said. “I didn’t harm nobody. I didn’t set nobody up. Actually I tried to help the people.”

Wilkerson is scheduled to be back in court next month.
