Sheriff’s detectives in Compton asked for the public’s help Monday in finding a 57-year-old man with dementia reported missing Sept. 30.
Ronald Darnell Gary was last seen walking on Long Beach Boulevard near the 105 Freeway about 10:30 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy said.
Gary recently suffered a stroke and needs medicine, according to deputies with the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.

Gary, who is black, was described as about 5 feet 7 inches and 200 pounds, with brown eyes, short black hair and prescription glasses. He was wearing a black jogging suit with a lime-green polo shirt and black tennis shoes. He also wears a gold-colored chain with an eagle medallion.
