The victim of a single-vehicle fatality in Powell County has been identified.
Troopers confirm John C. Lane, 60, of Lee County died in the crash. The single-vehicle fatality was most likely caused by a medical emergency, officials say.
It happened around 5:00 p.m. Monday. on Natural Bridge Road in Powell County. Police say Lane was very slowly driving his red GMC truck near Middle Fork Campground when he hit the guardrail then drove partially up the side of the hill, according to witnesses.

Rain was not the cause of the accident though it is thought to have hindered clean-up.
Two bystanders, who were members of the Air Force attempted to render aid, but they were too late.
