Arson Investigation Teen Pleads Guilty in Wayne County Attorney’s Office

A teen charged in connection with a fire at the Wayne County Attorney’s Office back in May has pleaded guilty.

18-year-old Tasha Brumley pleaded guilty to charges of arson, burglary, evidence tampering and theft. Her recommended sentence was 20 years probated with five years of supervision.

Brumley’s formal sentencing set for later this month.

19-year-old James Rigney has also been indicted in the case. His trial is set for next March.
