The parents of a Louisville teen shot to death over the weekend are pleading for someone to come forward with information.
When Shavon Ross’ mother said goodbye to her daughter Thanksgiving night, she had no idea that it would be the last time she would see her daughter alive.
“She was leaving to go over her best friend’s house,” remembers Laranda Ladd
Ladd says what may have begun as an altercation among teens Friday, likely escalated, erupting in gunfire Saturday evening behind a home at 24th and Elliott.

“Dude just started shooting for no apparent reason, I guess, you know, and my daughter got hit.,” says Ladd.
A makeshift memorial has popped up where the Fairdale junior lost her life. The 16-year-old leaves behind many friends. It’s a scene similar to the shooting of another teen that same day, just blocks away on Magazine.
That boy is still in critical condition.
Ross’ family is begging for the suspect to turn himself in to help their family begin the long road to recovery.
If you have information you are asked to call Louisville police.
