Saturday, an Horry County Magistrate Judge denied bond for the pair charged with kidnapping Zachary Malinowski.
Christopher Anfony Brown and Javon Dion Gibbs, both age 20, were arrested and charged with the kidnapping and murder of Malinowski, said Lt. Raul Denis of Horry County Police.
Judge Whitley cannot set bond for a murder charge, so Brown and Gibbs will appear in general sessions court next week for a bond hearing on that charge.

Whitley did set bond on two drug charges that Brown has against him. He’s charged with manufacturing and attempt to distribute schedule 1, 2, and 3 narcotics. For each charge, Brown has a $10,000 bond.
Brown and Gibbs waived their right to a public defender.
Friday, detectives with Horry County Police Major Crimes Section made arrests in the case of Malinowski, who was reported missing in August 2013.
“During the early hours of Aug 26 the two defendants abducted the victim from his residence and transported him to the western portion of Horry County where he was killed,” said Lt. Raul Denis of Horry County Police.
19-year-old Zachary Malinowski of Conway went missing from Aynor in Aug 2013. Police say he was last seen after a basketball game on Sunday, Aug. 25. Malinowski’s body has still not been found.
Although Malinowski was from Conway he had been living with his grandparents on Highway 905 near Aynor, according to a Horry County Police report.
Malinowski’s dark purple 1996 Chevrolet Beretta 2-door was found late the night of Sept. 2, 2013 and reported by police early Tuesday morning.
The car was found in woods about 100 yards off of Valley Forge Road near Louisville Road in the Aynor area, police said in a report.
Search dogs were brought to the area where the car was found, but after a couple of hours the search was called off, police said.
