Family members are desperately searching for a Long Beach man with a history of depression who has been missing for several days.
“He’s never done anything like this and we’re worried,” said Jimmy Almodovar, older brother of Greg Almodovar.
Jimmy Almodovar said the last time anyone had seen or heard from the 23-year-old, who worked as a caregiver, was on Tuesday.
“That was the last time he used his ATM or made a call from his cell phone,” Jimmy Almodovar said.

When Greg Almodovar didn’t come home Tuesday, his mother contacted Jimmy Almodovar.

“He usually always answers me texts but this time he didn’t,” he said.
The family activated Greg Almodovar’s GPS in his cell phone and located the missing man’s car near Willow Avenue and the 710 Freeway.
“It was facing the L.A. River,” Jimmy Almodovar said. There was no sign of his brother.
The family along with Long Beach Police officials will be searching for the missing man Saturday morning where his car was found.
Police are treating the disappearance as a critically missing person case.
Authorities say while he is suffering from depression, Greg Almodovar hadn’t made any statements to lead detectives to believe he would harm himself.
He stands about 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds with dark, medium length hair.
Anyone who sees Greg Almodovar or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Long Beach Police Department at 562-435-6711 or 9-1-1
