Rebecca Medley was sentenced to five years without parole for her role in abusing a child.
State police were called to Medley’s home after child protective services filed a complaint. Medley, and the child’s grandmother, Carolyn Case, admitted to using a green sash to tie the child to her bed at night after she tried to leave the house.
They also said they tied her to a chair as a form of punishment. According to court documents, she was tied so tightly that she could not escape.

The girl was removed from the home and Medley and Case were also sentenced to five years without parole last year.
Rebecca’s husband, Herbert Medley was also charged with having knowledge of the abuse. He is expected to be back in court in February.
