A car was t-boned on Nicholasville Road around 4:30 p.m., Thursday. A passenger car was heading north on Nicholasville and tried to make a left onto marketplace drive, the entrance to Walmart.
When the driver tried to turn, he cut in front of a SUV traveling southbound. The SUV hit the passenger side of the car. The passenger is now in surgery at UK with potentially life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No one from the SUV went to the hospital.
The entrance to Walmart was closed for three hours. It reopened around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
