Private Detective: Man Charged With Kidnapping Released After Victim Admits Making Story Up

A Frankfort man charged with kidnapping is out of jail after the “victim” admitted making the whole thing up.

Police say James N. Dixon, 18, told police that Dwayne Wainscott pulled a gun to force him to drive him to Lexington. Investigators say Dixon told them that Wainscott threatened his life on several occasion while holding the gun to his chest. He says he got away when the vehicle broke down in Versailles.
