Private Detective: Police Search for Suspect After Woman Escapes Alleged Carjackings

A woman said she feared for her life, after the man she thought she loved tried to attack her. Now Police in Harrison County want to find him.

Kathy Dawson claims her ex-boyfriend, 45-year-old Henry Hogg, pulled a knife on her and threatened to kill her by driving her car into a tree during a carjacking.

“It’s really scary, because I don’t know if he is going to come back,” said Dawson when talking about Hogg. She said on Tuesday February 3rd, Hogg freaked out as she drove down 27 North to take him to his mother’s house, after their breakup.

“On the way there, he kind of lost it pulled a knife on me. He tried to stab me and told me I was going to die with him, or watch him die. And I said, no, I’m not,” Said Dawson.

She said Hogg even tried to grab her steering wheel so they would crash into a tree. Luckily, she managed to pull over to the side of the road. Instead of Hogg getting out, she said he grabbed the wheel and stole her car. That vehicle has not been found by authorities.

Law enforcement in Breathitt County caught up with Hogg a couple of days later, and arrested him on a different warrant. He then bonded out before the new assault and robbery warrants were signed. Police said Hogg is currently on the run.

“I’m very nervous. I don’t like to be alone. Now I am constantly looking over my shoulder to see if anybody is following me,” said Dawson.

Dawson explained that she tried to get an emergency protective order against Hogg, however because she and Hogg weren’t living together, she said a judge wouldn’t grant her the order.

If you see Hogg, you’re asked to call police in Harrison County.
